Chapter 7 : Mount Sierra Part 1

Erica's Point of View

"Are we still far away from Mount Sierra?" I got bored asking Victor who was by my side. I just stared out the car of the window as I watched everything outside.

"We are near to that place," he briefly answered me.

I just sighed and frowned. We've been on the trip for almost two hours so I'm bored.

"Just close your eyes and I'll just wake you up when we get there," I heard Victor said to me.

Good idea! I just closed my eyes more than I could see Victor's face. I knew he was looking at me again and smiling. That is what he always does to me. Not by being an asshole but I know she is fascinated by my beauty.

I always feel intimidated because of his stare and smile. Who doesn't intimidated when a man is always looking at you and smiling, right? If it was just another woman maybe they would all be thrilled but I am different, I am not that kind of woman!

I do not know how many more hours we had to travel. I just opened my eyes when I felt someone shaking on my shoulder. When I opened my eyes, I saw Victor's smiling face.

"Here we are, sleepyhead!" he smiled and said to me.

"Where are we?" I wondered question him.

"We are here at the opening of Mount Sierra, Erica," he answered my question.

I grabbed my bag containing my belongings and got out of the car. When I came out, I saw the other three who are standing and holding the other belongings while Victor was not holding even one.

We approached our companions, "Let's start to move to finish our mission here," he said. The three warriors we were with nodded as I remained silent and followed what they were going to do.

As we entered the opening of Mount Sierra, we were exposed to the huge trees. We all walked in. Victor and I followed the three warriors.

While walking, I notice the different plants on this mountain. The Alchanes were right when they said that Mount Sierra has tremendous botanical species because there are plants whose names I do not know.

Using big knives, they cut down the weeds we passed. This mountain is quiet, only the chirping of insects and the dry leaves we step on can be heard.

Even to say that I have werewolves with me, I still can’t help but feel scared when I hear a crackle everywhere. They say that Mount Sierra also has a variety of animals that live here.

We also walked for about two hours. We pass through the lush grass and large stones. I also feel tired.

I called them so they stopped and they looked at me, "Can we rest first?" I suggested to them.

I saw Victor smiled and approached me, "Why? Are you tired?" he asked me.

I glared at him, "Ah, no. I'm not tired! That's why I asked if we could rest because I'm tired, right? Use your brain, Victor!" I answered him.

He grabbed his hair because of what I said, "Do you want me to just lift you so we can climb faster?" he suggested to me.

"I do not want to lift by you, Victor. What I want is to rest for a while," I replied seriously to his suggestion.

He sighed and called our companions.

"Let's rest for a while," Victor ordered our comrades.

They put down the bags they were holding and sat in the shade of a tree. I, on the other hand, brought water to drink.

Victor approached me and sat beside me. I looked at him.

"What do you miss in the world you come from?" he suddenly asked me which surprised me.

"Everything. The life I have there, my friends, and especially my mom," I replied to him.

He nodded at what I said, "What kind of life do you have there?" he asked again.

"My normal life, life as a student, the days with my friends and I go for a walk somewhere and much more."

"Are you happy with your world?"

"Of course! When I'm with the people who are important to me, I feel strangely happy. I feel like my life is complete, I feel safe when they are with me."

"What about here at Gralynes?"

"I've only been here for two days so I don't know what to say to you, Victor. But I don't think I fit in with your world so I want to go back to the world I came from."

He was silent because of what I said. Yes, Gralynes and the world I came from are almost the same, but I would rather be with my loved ones, my friends, and my mom.

We also rested for half an hour before we started walking again. We are going up and down. I was able to keep up with them but my feet and my body already tired.

"Be careful, Erica. We are going to climbed now," Victor who was behind me reminded me.

He was right, we are now climbing the rocks. We continued to climb and unexpectedly my feet slipped so I was out of balance.

I close my eyes because I know I will fall.

I did not fall because there were two hands holding my back. I turned around and saw Victor.

"I said be careful! What will I do when you will be injured or something happened to you? I will be going to marry you, you know!?!" he told me seriously.

Because of what I heard, I could not help but feel warm in my face. I knew I blushed because of what I heard so, I immediately averted my face from him.

I gasped. Our three companions looking at us. I adjusted myself and prepared to climb again. 

It was getting late so they decided to spend the night when we saw a flat area. The two male warriors arranged the tents and other belongings while the female is cooking for our dinner.

I sat on a rock near them. Victor came over and sat beside me.

We just stared at the three warriors while preparing our belongings.

"Have you ever had a relationship?" Victor suddenly asked me.

I looked at him, "Of course! With this beauty of mine, I have a lot of suiters in my world!" I proudly answered him.

"Yeah, you are right, Erica. You are so beautiful so I was not surprised by your answer," he told me.

I smiled at what he said. Does that mean I looks good or beautiful to him, too? After all, the way he looks at me is proof that he is attracted to me.

"Have you been happy with your relationships?" he even asked me which surprised me.

Why is Victor asking me such a thing now like this?

"It's okay, I used to be happy with the men I was in a relationship with," I replied.

His face became serious because of what I said, "How did you be happy with them?" he asked me again.

I smiled because the memories of my love life went back.

"I was happy because of how they made me feel. The love they gave to me that made my world colorful, those times when we were happy together, those times when we both went for somewhere to enjoy our relationship," I said passionately.

He looked at me seriously, "Do you have a relationship now?"

"No. Because I put my education first for our future with my mom. When my dad died, our situation became difficult. Even if we say we are ok, it is inevitable to have a test of life that needs to be solved. , "I have a long answer to his question.

He nodded because I said, "Then have you given your whole body to a man?" my eyes widened because of his question.

I got up from my seat and faced him, "If I had a relationship, I should give my body to that man? I'm not that woman, Victor so I'm still a virgin!" I replied making him smile.

"It would be nice then!" he said.

I glared at him, "What's so good about that? What do you mean?" I asked him.

He smiled at me, "Because I will be the first to claim you, Erica, I will be the first to get your body!" he said that he was accompanied by a wink.

My head heats up because of what he said. I approached him and was about to strike him as he moved quickly and walked away from me.

He laughed out loud because of my reaction.

"I will never give myself to you! Remember that, Victor !!" I shouted at him.

"Yeah, Yeah! Whatever!!" 

Our companions stopped at what they doing because of my loud shout so I felt ashamed. I just shook and grabbed my forehead. This annoying Victor! What is he thinking or talking about !!

When they prepared our tent and dinner ready, we all ate together. When we finished eating, I went into a tent to rest because my body was so tired.

When I lay down, I was about to close my eyes when Victor suddenly entered my tent.

I sat down, "What are you doing here !!" I shouted asking him.

His face was puzzled by my question, "Shall we sleep?" he asked answering me. 

I glared at him, "What do you think to your self! You can sleep outside but not here!" I shouted at him.

His face became serious, "I just want to remind you, Erica, that I am the next Alpha King! And you are going to put me to sleep outside?" he asked me.

"I don't care if you are the next Alpha king or what you are! Just don't sleep here, stay with our companions!"

"What if I do not want to?" he smiled at me and finally went inside the tent.

He crawled closer to me. I move backward because of what he is doing. I didn't like his face so I just closed my eyes.

"Ok, fine! But don't be naughty otherwise I will kick you out of here inside the tent!" I closed my eyes and said to him.

"Yes, ma'am! I will behave!"
