Chapter 9 : Mount Sierra Part 3

Erica's Point of View

It is easy to say "I love you" to someone but it is hard to show.

Victor probably thought that I would believe him that he said he loves me. Who will be going to fool what he said? Me? In his dream! In the two days that we have been together, is that how he feels about me? Is there such a thing?

Love has a process before we can feel it. It's not just that if you feel weird, you already love that person. Love is well thought out because they say, love is sacred between two people who loved each other.

So, earlier when Victor said that he loves me, I just frowned. If other women may believe and thrill, I can but I am different. I am not such a person like that.

If I love a man, I want you to know him well. I want to be with him for a long time. I want to feel that strange feeling that only he can give to me. Even if he is handsome, he has a beautiful body and has a strong sex appeal, I will answer him "I love you!

I was just shaken and closed my eyes because of what I was thinking. Victor was behind me while the three of our companions were ahead.

Our ascent to the highest peak of Mount Sierra was quiet. As we go up, I also feel cold here because we are going uphill.

We climbed for a few more hours when we reached the highest peak of this mountain.

I sat on the ground because I feel tired. I looked at my companions who were watching the area.

The top of Mount Sierra is not very wide. There are trees but not that many.

I looked down. I can see the vast expanse of Gralynes. In the distance, you can see large buildings from Fiannard's land, and at the bottom of the mountain was the vast green because of the trees.

"Let's rest here first and then we will look for the Chalice of Sierra," Victor told us.

Our three companions put our belongings and sat on the ground as well. I saw Victor approaching me. He sat down next to me and looked down at the mountain.

"Are you okay?" Victor suddenly asked me.

I looked at him, "I'm ok, I just tire a little bit," I answered at him.

Silence prevailed between the two of us. I Feel the cold temperature of the place. My pain and fatigue were a relief. It was a relaxing place for rest. 

I closed my eyes because of the comfort I was feeling. I felt someone hold my shoulder so I opened my eyes.

Victor brought my body closer to him.

I looked at him, "Lean on my shoulder if you want," he said to me.

I moved away from him. I do not like our position.

He looked at me, "Why are you moving away from me, Erica?" he wondered.

"I just feel irritated when someone pushing himself to me," I answered him honestly.

He looked at me seriously, "Oww, Is that so?" he asked. "So, what is your ideal man, Erica?" he asked more.

"Why are you asking that thing?" I answered his question.

He smiled at me, "You told me before not to answer one question by another, Erica!" he teased me.

I close my eyes because of what he said.

I gasped, "My ideal guys are someone you understand me, my bad and good attitudes, he can accept me of who I am and the most important is normal, normal human !!" I honestly said to him.

"Awww, do you mean, I have no chance to you?"

"You got it right, Victor!"

He was silent because of what I said. It was ok for him to know the truth rather than expecting that I like him too.

"Do you know what are the other abilities of a werewolf, Erica?" he suddenly asked me.

I looked at him. I have read the abilities of werewolves before but I do not know if I will still believe everything I have read before.

"Apart from being transformed as a werewolf, we have the ability to enhance our senses like the sense of smell, taste, smell, we can also see an object or person from one kilometer and we also feel when something is not right to the place where we are," he said to me.

I just nodded because of what he said. There are also some truths from what I read.

"So, I know you're thinking something," he added.

I smiled at him, "I'm just wondering because of what you said earlier that you love me," I said to him.

He wondered what I said, "What do you mean?" he asked.

"Who would have believed what you said if we had only known each other for two days, Victor? There is no such thing as that, you know!"

He smiled at me, "You know, Erica, love moves its mysterious way. We do not know where or when we feel the love for someone," he said to me with a passionate voice.

"Love is very mysterious, Erica. We do not know where it came from and how it started as long as when you feel it in someone, you can do nothing but follow your heart," he continued.

I just listen to what he was saying, "You will accept everything from him. Whatever kind of creature he is, whatever his gender and whatever the state of his life." he ended.

After all, everything he said had points. But I still can't fall for what he told me he already loves me!

Silence filled the place where we were. We also rested for about twenty minutes when Victor stood up and told us we were going to find the Chalice of Sierra.

We approached our three companions. Hugo is reading a book, the book of magical items.

When Victor and I approached, he asked our companions, "Where are we going to find the Chalice of Sierra?"

"According to this book, Victor, The Chalice of Sierra is on a big stone here at the top of Mount Sierra," he answered Victor's question.

"So, we need to find that stone to get the item!" Victor ordered.

The three of them nodded because of what Victor said.

The five of us split up to find the chalice of Sierra. Victor and I were together and our three companions parted ways.

We also searched for a few hours until Victor heard from those with us. Even though we were far away from them, he still heard them calling. This is one of the skills of a werewolf.

We hurried to go to where our comrades were. When we arrived, we saw our companions facing a large rock.

There are those engraved on the rock like letters and symbols. We looked at it. I could not understand what was carved in the rock so I did not interfere with them.

"This is an ancient letter of the Gralynes called Neoclic Words!" Victor said to all of us.

I looked at Victor, "Can you read the letters and symbols?" I asked him.

"Yes and this is a riddle," he replied to me which surprised me.

"What is a riddle?"

Victor approached the rock, "It says," When I was young, I was tall, when I worked and grew up, I was small, when I was used, I was bright but because of the wind, I'm dying! What am I? "he read the letters and symbols on the rock. 

I was just shaken head. This riddle was very simple!

"The answer is a candle!" I said to them.

After I said the answer, we felt nauseous in the area. I approached Victor and grabbed his clothes.

A few moments later, we saw the big rock gradually split. Soon, we found what we were looking for in it.

It is a chalice made of gold. There are also engraved symbols on it and on its handle is a snake design.

We all looked at each other. Victor approached the chalice of Sierra and touched it.

He looked at us first before he took the chalice of Sierra.

When he got it, he smiled and showed it to us.

"The first magical item is already with us. We only have three to look for!" said Victor to us.

I just smiled and finally, we got a magical item! It's only three and I can go back to my world!

Victor gave the chalice of Sierra to Hugo. He put it in a bag.

"Let's go down and when the night catches up with us while going down, we will just spend the night there," Victor told us.

We all agreed with what he said.

We started walking down Mount Sierra and then came the bottle of elixir located on Maru Island.

I just hope that when we go there, we have in peace because according to the Alchanes, there are mermaids and mermen living there!

What will happen to us on Maru Island?
