Chapter 8 : Mount Sierra Part 2

Erica's Point of View

The morning came, we immediately arranged our belongings. After we ate our breakfast, we started climbing Mount Sierra again.

"Is the top of this mountain still far!?" I asked them. Honestly, I am so tired!

We have been climbing this mountain for a few hours but until now, we have not reached the top!

"The Alchanes said that this mountain has 2,012 meters high, didn't they, Erica?" Victor reminded me.

I just kept quiet and followed our three companions who are in front while Victor was behind me.

We continued to climb here to the highest peak of Mount Sierra. Our journey went smoothly, there was no problem. 

We just stop for a moment to rest and to eat and then we will continue climbing again.

"Can you still have the energy to climb, Erica?" Victor asked me.

I turned to him, "Of course! I will not give up just to back home to my world," I replied.

"If you are tired, just say so and I will carry you on my back," he said smiling at me.

I glared at him, "I will not going to let you carry me! I am not longer a child!"

it took us about an hour to climb until we reached a part of Mount Sierra. The land is flat in this part and there are also many trees. It is not rocky and grassy. All you can hear are the chirping of insects and the sound of the wind.

"Let's rest here," Victor suggested to us.

I looked around to find something to seat. I saw a large rock so I walked over to sit there.

I was in that position when I felt urination. I stood up and looked for a place to urinate. I saw a big tree so I walked quickly there.

I immediately took off my pants and peed. When I could urinate, I got up and adjusted my pants. When I fixed it, the place where I was suddenly cooled down.

I feel weird so I quickly go back to my companions but I no longer know where they are.

I was so nervous so I called my comrades.

"Victor !!" I shouted for them to hear me.

"Victor! Where are you !?" I shouted loudly but still, no one answered.

Moments later, there was smoke in the area where I was. I moved forward because it gradually thickens until I can see nothing.

I also do not understand why I am drowsy. I sat down from standing.

"Victor!" my last when I fainted.

When I opened my eyes, I immediately stood up. I looked around and realized that I was somewhere else.

My heartbeat is speeding up, I'm nervous!

"Victor! Where are you!" I shouted but no one answered.

I'm getting scared. My eyes are already watering. I do not know what I will do. I do not know where I am going.

"Please, Victor, answer me!" I shouted loudly but still nothing.

I just walk around the place where I am. Looking for my companions. I shouted but no matter what I did, no one answered.

I was sitting on the root of a tree. I could not stop myself from crying because of the fear and nervousness I was feeling.

I leaned back in my seat. I am no longer knew what I was going to do. I feel like I want to lose hope but I can't, I need to find them! I will be back in my world!

I got up from my seat again and shouted again. I searched for my comrades and hoped they would hear me.

While I was searching for my comrades, suddenly my eyes saw something. I looked at it carefully and I could not be wrong!

I walked quickly to approach her. When I got close to her,  I called her.

"Mom?" she slowly turned to me.

When I saw his face, I immediately moved and hugged her tightly!

"What are you doing here, mom? How did you get here?" I wondered question her.

She touched my shoulders and she looked at me.

"I'm looking for you, Erica because you suddenly disappeared. I don't know but while I was looking for you I lost consciousness. When I opened my eyes I was here!" mom answered my questions.

I smiled because of what she said. Even though we haven't seen each other for two days, I still miss my mom. I feel like my whole being is not complete when I am separated from her.

"I know you're worried about me, mom, so I'm looking for a way to get back to us," I told her.

She looked at me seriously, "How did you get here?" she asked me curiously.

"I came here because I was destined to be the bride of the next Alpha King in this world, mom!" I explained to her.

"How did that happen?" she asked me curiously.

I gasped, "Let's sit down first, mom, and I will tell you everything!"

I told mom everything from the beginning. What they told me about this world as well as their beliefs and practices.

Mom listened to me seriously and when I finished telling her everything she objected to everything that happened to me.

"They can't say that, Erica! They cannot do that to you! This is not your world so you can't live in here!" she commented to me.

"That is also what I told to them so I told them to bring me back to our world, mom but one of the Alchanes died so we have to find what they call Magical Items to bring me back to our world," I explained to my mom.

"It should be, Erica because this place is so dangerous. You never know what will happen to you here. Even if we say that your future husband, Victor, the future Alpha King, there is no guarantee that you will be safe in this place!" she told me that I agreed. 

"You're right there, mom, but I can't go back to our world if we don't get the magical items that they say."

"You don't have to look for the magical items, Erica!" mom told me that made me amazed.

"What do you mean, mom?" I wondered question her.

"When I first came here, I saw something. When I saw it, I realized that it was a transportation device that could bring us back to our world," she replied to me which surprised me.

She showed me a circular object. It was made of metal and in the middle has a red button.

"Come on, Erica, let's go home!" she invited me.

She held my hand. When she touched me, I suddenly felt a cold that I could not understand.

I could not move because of how I was feeling.

"Why, Erica? Let's go home," she repeated to me.

I was just looking at her. Why do I seem to feel weird? Why does something seem to be wrong here?

"Why? Is there a problem, Erica?" she asked me with confusion.

"No, mom, but ..." I could not continue what I was about to say when I heard a voice somewhere.

"Erica!" it was just a weak voice but I knew Victor was calling me.

"Don't you want to go home with me, Erica?" she asked me with sadness in her voice.

"I want to go home, mom!" I answered her.

"In that case, what else are you doing? Come with me and we will go home!" she said to me.

"Erica, please wake up!" I heard Victor say somewhere.

"But, mom, there seems to be something wrong with what is happening right now!" I told her.

She was surprised because what I said, "What's wrong, Erica?"

I thought about her question and I realized something. 

"Something is wrong with what you told me, mom!" I told her.

I let go of her grip and I moved backward.

"What do you mean, Erica?" she asked.

"I know you are not my mom. Yes, you look like her, you sound like my mom but I was hesitant about you because of what you told me!" I told her.

"What are you talking about, Erica. It's me, your mom!" she insisted.

I looked at her seriously, "First, how did you get to this place? I know you can only come here if a ritual has taken place! Second, the thing you showed me. What you said is something unbelievable that it cannot convince me and the third, why do you know Victor? Mom doesn't know anything about this world! You have enough reason not to believe you! " I have a long explanation for her.

She smiled at me. She stood up straight. In a few moments, she gradually disappeared in front of me. When he disappeared I felt dizzy so I closed my eyes.

When I opened my eyes, I first saw was Victor's worried face. His eyes were watering like he is crying.

He suddenly hugged me tightly. I could not move because my mind had not yet processed.

"I thought, you would never wake up, Erica! I thought you were going to leave me!" I heard Victor whisper to my ears as he hugged me.

When he let go of the hug, he turned to me, "I was very worried about you when we saw you lying down and unconscious. I thought, there is something that had happened to you!" he said passionately to me.

"Next time, don't leave without saying goodbye, Erica. You scared me too much, you know that?"

"If you can just be here, I will do it but I don't want to stop what you want. If you want to go back to your world, I will set you free because this is the way to show that I love you, Erica. I want you to be happy even I sacrifice my happiness!"
