Chapter 10 She was innocent

Marina's Pov :

            When I heard from her class teacher that she had been missing from her class since morning class at noon,I was shocked. When I came out from home that morning, she was already out in her morning classes. I really didn't know what to do and what not to do.

         She never hanged out with other friends. I never let her to be. I only saw her with Ryan, Max and Daisi.And Ryan was in school but she wasn't. On other days, Ryan would always be with him but that time she wasn't. She never mentioned any guy to go out. Obviously, she wouldn't mention it to me but I never heard her link ups with any guy too. Most of the guys in her class were scared of her more than loving her back.

     The whole day, I couldn't concentrate myself to teach. My daughter was missing with some other girls from her class. I really didn't have idea whom should I contact to. Everyone were in school.Maybe ,I should have let her make friends because right at that time, I had no one to contact to.

     But when I called her on mid day at home, her grandma told that she has already returned. Then, my heart was at ease. Where had she gone? Had she ate or not? Why had she gone? .These questions encircled in my minds whole day.

    I wanted to see my baby more than anything. I waited the school to finish the school and ran directly to home. I know,she wouldn't tell me anything, so I took Ryan with me to be my mediator between me and her. I didn't know she would get scared that, I would hit her with stick. Why would I? Max and Daisi didn't like him,you know.

     When Ryan told me that she had done that because she felt that I pressurize her with everything, I didn't listen  to her inner voice at all. I never listened what she actually wanted. I always did what I want her to do.It was all because I was scared.

Scared, that she would not be able to fit in that society. She still didn't know that the world doesn't rotate according to her wish. She thought that, she  could do everything that she wished for and the world was her playground. She didn't know, how scary the world was. She had never been through that harsh world,  herself.

      But I accepted the fact that I was on mistake too. And at night,  when she promised me that she wouldn't do anything like that again, I didn't know why but my heart felt that she was genuine.

    But that incident wasn't the end. I never realized that the problem would rise after that.

    The school administration got the information that, on the day of bunking the classes, the students went out the trip and they smoke and drank the alcohol in school uniforms.

   I didn't really believe my daughter would do that. She could never do that and she had just told me that she had been to the park,just a kilometer away. She didn't even mention about it to me. All of them were called to the teachers room and I was called too.

     The principal asked, if that was true. 
     They accepted the fact. But,  she was telling that she hadn't done it. Everyone one were sent out, except Monita. I didn't know what he asked her but when she came out she was all on tears.

    When she came out, she saw me and said, "Mom, I really didn't do it, "and hugged me and cried.

    After, some hours principal called all the parents of those students and I have to go too.

    The principle and then yelled,

     "We really can't handle these kind of students. Please, we are expelling them from our school. We won't write any bad on their character certificate. But we can't have them. It will affect in the mindset of other students. Please, take your children and teach them somewhere else. "

     I was really devastated to hear that. After,  the meeting,I still remained and wanted to convince to him that she didn't do it but you know what he said,

   "I cannot be kind to you just because you are teacher here.Your daughter was always a headache to school but this time it's extreme. Your daughter doesn't deserve to study here. Actually, she doesn't deserve to study anywhere.I was overlooking her just she was your daughter and you have worked hard for her, "he said.

      "But,  sir she really said she didn't do that. I trust her, she could never do that. "

      "I confirmed with her friends, she was with them. No more discussion. "

      "But, sir. Please, believe me. She really didn't do that. Which school would take her, at this time of mid year. She even doesn't have good grades that the school would take her directly. Please, sir consider it again. "

     He then,  came slowly towards me and said,

   "If you really want me to help me,you have to pay me. "

    "Pay you, for what, "I said.

    "For your daughter,  pay me with your body. I know you have never been touched after your husband's dead. So, tonight contact me. "

     I was shattered into pieces when I heard that. I never expected, the principal who had always been kind to me, who has supported me all these years,  gave me a job to feed me and my family, would have such a eagle eyed intentions on me.

    Then,  I thought for some time and said,

      "Sir, I am resigning.I will give you my resignation letter in some minutes and my daughter is obviously innocent" and walked out  from there.

    My daughter was innocent and her innocence didn't need me to go through those dirty intentions of people.I didn't want to kill her innocence by letting her to stay in that school.

    She could study anywhere but not at the school whose leader was a dirty minded, who visions the woman with that intentions.
