CHAPTER FIVE

“Sis, Wake up,

It is eleven O'clock and you are still sleeping” Kiara heard her sister's voice.

Kiara at first didn't give attention to her but by the time Lisa's words sank in her mind. She sat on the bed in a panic.

“Why didn't you wake me up?” shouted Kiara while stepping down the bed.

“I tried three times but you didn't listen to me” replied Lisa while controlling her laughter.

“I am going to take bath in five minutes” saying,

Kiara ran towards the washroom but midway her gaze fell on the wall clock which was showing the time as nine O'clock.

“What is this Lisa?” asked Kiara angrily.

“It is called fooling and you got fooled by me.

You are easy to fool sis” replied Lisa while laughing hard.

“I am not going to leave you in one piece” threatened Kiara and started chasing Lisa.

“Sis, when it comes to running I will be always first,” said Lisa amidst her running.

They both fell on the bed tired of chasing and running.

“Sis, You should change your habits of waking up late otherwise you are going to be late for your classes,” said Lisa.

“I am going to set the alarm,” said Kiara.

“I don't think It will be useful for a person like you” commented Lisa.

“What do you mean by like me?” asked Kiara.

“Heavy sleeper” saying she ran out of the room.

«This girl is not going to change»....... Thought Kiara.

She glanced at the clock and decided to sleep for another thirty minutes.

It was eleven O'clock Kiara got ready to leave for shopping according to her father's order.

She was waiting for Aaron while sitting in the living room. Lisa went to her friend's house. So, it was Annie and Kiara in the house.

Kiara heard door-bell. She opened the door and found out that the visitor was Aaron.

Their eyes met for a fraction of seconds and the next moment they looked away.

Annie walked to them and asked Aaron to come inside, obeying to her, he walked in following Annie, leaving Kiara to close the door.

Annie and Aaron chatted for a few minutes. It was mostly Annie talking and Aaron nodding his head.

“You guys should leave,” said Annie after talking for a while.

Aaron and Kiara were not interested in shopping and that too with each other.

Nevertheless, they have to obey their father's orders. So, they made their way out of the house.

Aaron walked towards his car and sat in the car without waiting for Kiara.

Kiara didn't mind it and following him, she also got into the car. She forgot to fasten the seatbelt.

Aaron waited for a few minutes for her to fasten the seatbelt, but she was busy gazing outside.

Whereas Kiara was wondering why he was not driving the car. At last, she lost her patience and made a rash comment.

“Are you waiting for an auspicious time to start the car?” asked Kiara, turning towards him.

Aaron got angered by listening to her comment.

“Yes, I was waiting for you to choose that auspicious time” countered Aaron.

Kiara got slightly shocked by his counterattack but didn't show surprise in her expressions.

She felt short of words to dispute him and decided to answer normally.

“Then we should leave now,” said Kiara with a glint of annoyance.

“Do you know the rules to travel in cars?” asked Aaron, making Kiara confused.

“What are you asking?

Are we going to leave or not?” asked Kiara, ignoring his question.

“We can leave only after you fasten your seatbelt” replied Aaron.

The next moment Kiara fastened her seatbelt.

“You should have said it before itself.

Why did you waste time?” asked Kiara.

“You were busy admiring your house.

So, I decided not to disturb” replied Aaron while igniting the engine.

Soon their car started moving towards their destination. Their journey was filled with silence.

Aaron halted the car in front of the central mall, parking the car they got out of the car.

They started walking into the mall without waiting for the other person. They were like two strangers walking next to each other.

Ignoring each other they got into the mall. Aaron started moving towards the Jewelry store for rings.

Whereas Kiara started moving towards clothing stores for wedding attire.

They didn't realize that they missed each other while moving in their direction.

The moment Aaron reached the store he observed that Kiara was not following him.

«Where did this arrogant girl go?

Where should I find her?»......... Thought Aaron.

He started walking towards the entrance of the mall while searching for her.

Whereas Kiara walked into the store and started browsing the clothes.

“Did you come alone mam?” she heard a store employee voice.

That's when she realized that Aaron was nowhere to be seen.

«Oh shit!

Where did this person go?».......... Thought Kiara?

“Sorry, I will be right back” replied Kiara and walked out of the store in search of Aaron.

As she came to the entrance she found him roaming in the mall.

He was roaming while searching for her, but she thought he was simply roaming here and there.

Her brain started taking every action of Aaron negatively.

“What are you doing here?

Wasting time while roaming here and there?” asked Kiara as she reached him.

Aaron who was already at the edge of losing his control got angered by her comment.

“Where were you?

I am searching for you” replied Aaron with a raised voice.

“I am the one who came searching for you” argued Kiara.

“I went to the Jewelry store but you didn't come,” said Aaron

“I went to the clothing store,” said Kiara.

“It is not going to happen in this way,” said Aaron.

He held Kiara's hand and started moving towards the jewelry store.

“What are you doing?

Leave my hand” shouted Kiara.

“I will leave after we reach the store.

I want to finish this shopping early.

I have so many other things to handle” replied Aaron while walking towards the Jewelry store.

Kiara signed in annoyance and let him lead her the way.

“What do you want sir and mam?” asked the employee as they walked into the store.

Kiara pulled out her hand from his grip.

“Wedding rings,” Aaron replied.

The employee leads them to the rings section.

“These are our new collection of wedding rings” saying he placed rings in the display.

Kiara and Aaron scanned the rings for a few seconds.

“I want this one,” said Aaron and Kiara at the same time as they spotted the ring according to their taste.

But, their choices were different.

The employee got confused as they selected two sets of rings.

“Which one should I pack?” asked the employee.

“Pack this one” replied Aaron and Kiara pointing to their selected set of rings.

Employee got more confused and Aaron and Kiara started glaring at each other.

“You were not interested in this marriage right.

Then why do you want the ring according to your choice?” asked Aaron.

“I am not interested in marriage only not in rings and also I have to wear it even if I don't like that's why I want to wear the ring of my choice” replied Kiara while holding her selected in front of Aaron.

“Why do you want this ring?

I know you are also not interested in this marriage?” asked Kiara.

“The ring you selected is ugly.

That's why I want this one” replied Aaron.

“How can you call my choice ugly.

Your choice is ugly.

I don't want to wear that ring in this lifetime” countered Kiara.

“Then don't wear who is forcing you.

Let's get married without rings” said Aaron.

While arguing with each other they forget about the employee who is hell shocked by their bickering.

“Sir and Mam,

are those rings for your wedding that means are you both getting married?” asked The employee.

Aaron and Kiara shared a glance at each other in annoyance.

“Yes, do you have any problem?” asked Aaron.

“No, Sir I don't have any problem.

Please tell me which set I should pack” replied the employee frightened by Aaron's scary expressions.

“Pack this” again they started bickering for their choice.

Aaron had enough of this argument and came with an idea.

“Can't you give us two rings from these two sets?” asked Aaron.

Kiara internally agreed with him but maintained a poker face.

“I am sorry sir,

These are couple rings.

We can't sell them separately” replied the employee.

“Pack both the sets,” said Aaron.

The employee thanked God internally as they finally decided to buy the rings. That means they will leave his store.

He was shocked by their argument over rings.

“Thank you for visiting sir,” said the employee while handling the rings.

As they left with rings that employee signed in relief.

“This is your ugly ring,

You can wear both of them” said Aaron while handling her the rings of her choice.

Kiara twisted her lips to his statement while receiving the rings.

Next, they went to the clothing store.

This time they had the freedom to select their choices.

So, there was no room for argument.
