CHAPTER SIX

Lisa was standing on their house porch while eagerly waiting for Kiara.

A car entered her house. Kiara got out of the car and the next moment the car left their house.

“Sis, you should have invited him,” said Lisa, eyeing the car going out.

“Why should I have to do that?” asked Kiara walking into their house.

She directly went to her room followed by Lisa.

“I was waiting outside to get a glimpse of him,” replied Lisa with sparkling eyes.

Kiara decided not to reply and started unpacking her shopping bags.

“Wow, sis your wedding dress is beautiful” commented Lisa.

“Is it his choice?” asked Lisa.

“What made you think like that?” asked Kiara.

“Usually, your choice is outdated” replied Lisa.

“Dare you to repeat it again,

My fashion is better than yours.

This is purely my choice” stated Kiara at each word.

“Don't forget this marriage is not out of our will” added Kiara.

“Ok,” said Lisa.

Her gaze fell on the rings box.

“Did you bring rings with you?” asked Lisa.

“Yes, It is my ring” replied Kiara while placing her dress in the wardrobe.

“What about Aaron's ring?” asked Lisa with confusion.

“He took his ring with him,” replied Kiara.

“What do you mean sis?” asked a completely confused Lisa.

Hearing her questions Kiara remembered today's incidents and suddenly she felt an increase in her anger.

“Don't ask about it.

Today I learned that my anger level is far higher than my expectations” replied Kiara.

“Sis, Don't answer in puzzles” requested Lisa.

Kiara explained her shopping adventure with Aaron to Lisa in a detailed manner but the only thing that caught Lisa's attention was that they brought two sets of wedding rings.

“Who buys two sets of wedding rings for a single wedding?” asked Lisa, interrupting her explanation.

“We,

I don't like his choice and the same with him.

So, it is better to choose different” replied Kiara.

“Sis, if you two behave like this from the start then how are you going to share a room and live in the same house after marriage?” asked Lisa.

Hearing her question Kiara halted and thought for a few moments before replying.

“I am not going to stay in the same house with him, forget about the same room” replied Kiara.

Lisa gave her a puzzled look and asked

“Then Where are you going to stay?”

“I am going to stay in a university dormitory,” replied Kiara with a proud look.

“I am going to show these rings to mom,” said Kiara and walked out of the room.

«What if dad makes the special arrangement of you guys»........... Thought Lisa.

Aaron walked into his house after dropping Kiara at her house.

He directly went to his room only to find Gavin present in his room.

“When did you come? And,

Why did you come?” asked Aaron

“Thirty minutes before and the reason is I was bored at home” replied Gavin.

“Ok” saying, Aaron laid on bed.

“How was your day?” asked Gavin.

Aaron signed before replying.

“Irritating,” Aaron said.

“Why?

What happened with my sister-in-law?” asked Gavin.

Aaron glared at him.

“Who is your sister-in-law?

She is best at causing headache to others, and she can go missing in a few minutes” replied an irritated Aaron.

“Cool Man,

Exactly,

What happened?” asked Gavin.

Aaron gave a clarified explanation for his irritating day.

Gavin heard his words with great interest and came to one conclusion.

“I want to meet her,

She is also not interested in this marriage just like you Aaron.

Maybe that's why her behavior towards you is rude” said Gavin.

“Whatever,

Somehow I got lucky,

I am leaving for MUU the next day of marriage.

That means I don't have to face her after that day” said Aaron with a sign.

“That means I am going to miss the chance to meet her,” mumbled Gavin.

“It is not a big deal you can meet her at the wedding,” said Aaron.

“I can't. I am going to visit my hometown to meet my granny.

I will come to MUU directly from my hometown” explained Gavin.

“No problem,

You are going to face her rude behavior if you meet her” said Aaron.

“Aaron,

We never had a conversation regarding any girl till now” said Gavin as he discovered this fact.

“Yes, It is completely a waste of time” came a sharp reply from Aaron.

“But, This is the first we have been talking about a girl for two days,” said Gavin while controlling his smile.

Aaron stared at him for a while before replying.

“If you don't have anything to do then leave.

I am sleepy” said Aaron voluntarily ignoring his words.

“Wow, I got a cold-hearted friend.

Who doesn't even know manners?” shouted Gavin.

“Ok, bye” saying Aaron walked into the restroom to get changed.

“Ok, I am leaving” Gavin left his room while stomping his foot.

The next few days passed hastily.

This week Kiara and Aaron got Kevin and Jacob's signatures on their admission forms.

Aaron is still aware of the fact that Kiara is going to study in the same college as him.

Kiara and Aaron both plan to not face each other after marriage, but we can't say anything about their father's plans.

Kevin and Jacob were busy with their new project. They decided that this wedding is going to be a private affair with a few friends and relatives.

In all these Annie was feeling guilty of not being able to support her daughter.

She decided to have a conversation with Kiara tonight after Kevin declared her marriage she wasn't able to face Kiara because of her inner guilt.

She came to her room and slowly opened the door only to find her bed empty.

She knew if Kiara was not in her room then there is only one possible place where she can find her.

She walked towards the staircase because the rooftop is the place where Kiara visits when she is down or nervous.

As she climbed the staircase she found Kiara standing by the wall while gazing at the black sky.

“Sky full of stars is a beautiful site for our small eyes, right?” asked Annie standing beside her.

Kiara once gazed at her and then again shifted her gaze at the sky.

“Hmm, ” responded Kiara.

Annie gazed at her with just a look she can say Kiara was facing an inner turmoil which can't be seen by others.

She knew that night before marriage is not easy for girls they will face nervousness and an unknown fear but for her daughter,

She knew that her daughter was worried about her dream.

She knows her words are not going to confront her and also she can't help but be worried about her daughter.

“Kiara, do all the stars are visible to us?

Can we count them?” asked Annie, still gazing at the sky filled with sparkling stars.

Kiara got confused by the sudden question from her mother which is completely out of blue.

Nevertheless, she decided to give a reply to her.

“No, we can't count nor see all the stars with our naked eye mom.

Why did you ask these questions?” asked a confused Kiara.

“Think of these stars as the answers to your worries and your unanswered questions.

You can't see these stars with your naked eye, but they are still present in this sky.

Just like that solutions for our problems are around us, but we fail to identify them.

The only way is to search for them without losing hope.

And, think of these sparkling stars when you feel that you are not doing well in your life, some stars may shine less bright, but they still shine like that don't lose hope and try harder to shine brighter than before the past day” said Annie.

Kiara kept gazing at her.

“I know I failed to support you as a mother.

But, I pray to God to fulfil your every wish” said Annie.

“Mom, you don't have to feel sorry,” said Kiara while cuddling Annie.

“But, I will be guilty.

I wanted to help you to fulfil your dream” said Annie with a glint of tears.

“Mom, still I am going to study medicine, right?” said Kiara while wiping her tears.

“Not at the cost of marriage.

If you don't want to get married then you have a chance.

You can run away.

You have your father's signature on admission forms and I have some savings from those you can study” Annie gave an idea shocking Kiara to the core.

“Mom, what are you saying?” asked a shocked Kiara.

“I don't want you to get married against your wish,” said Annie.

“I have been convincing myself from past few days but now I can't convince more” added Annie.

Kiara became emotional hearing her mom's words and started crying in her embrace.

Annie kept patting her head.

A few minutes later they came out of the hug.

Annie whipped her tears.

“Mom,

thank you for taking the brave decision for me but I don't want to run away.

Running away can only cause more problems for us.

Being married or not I am getting a chance to study medicine and I want to utilize it” said Kiara.

“Whatever you felt right.

But don't lose hope and suffer internally.

If you have any problem share with me although if it is related to Aaron.

I have a feeling that he is a nice person” said Annie.

“Ok, mom,” said Kiara and hugged her mother again.
