Chapter 7: New Beginning!

Striking shining rays of the sun were smirking from the window passing through the curtains on Reese's face, making her more enchanting. Feeling the warmth on her face she slowly opened her eyes while rubbing them and sit straight in her bed.

Lee’s villa was in the outer suburbs, a closet place to nature not too far from the main city but an exclusive area. It was surrounded by lovely small mountains and natural bushes. With the artificial lake and waterfall, it was just like paradise. So natural!

She went to the balcony and stretched her hands above while listening to the chirping sound of the birds. She was immersed in her own world enjoying the stunning scenery outside and failed to notice the gaze which was scanning her from head to toe, obiviously that was none other than Armaan.

While stretching her hands up, her top left a beautiful gap of her waist. Seeing that, Armaan had an immediate urge to go and clasp her waist, getting her into his tight embrace and pressing hard against the railing. He was feeling itchy in his hands as if he wants to move them on the smooth white skin of her, not giving her a chance to break free. With these engrossed thoughts he abruptly left the balcony before getting scratchier.

Reese took the shower and gets herself dressed. Today she wore a peach color shirt and black skirt. It looks like a modern yet contemporary business suit. Before leaving the room, she took out a picture from her bag and kissed it. It was her parent’s picture, which she always keeps in her bag. She asked blessing from them and put it back before heading down.

Reaching the dining table for breakfast she greeted everybody good morning with a pleasant smile. Everybody was there on the table except Armaan, who just came after Reese. He also greeted his parents and grandparents. With that, he went straight and sat on his chair, without looking at her.

Mrs. Lee asked Reese about her preparations for joining and Reese gave an assured look. She told her that, the driver will drop her but she refused. She replied that she will take a cab stating it would be inconvenient if all see that an intern coming is such a big car. She wants to create her foot hall without being judged. Lee’s parents understand her well and didn’t make things difficult. With that, she left after giving a bear hug to Mrs. Lee and grandma.

At MU Designers office….

The company staff was friendly and gave her the utmost respect knowing her distinguished qualifications. She has already won several contests at the national level and has marked her name in the industry.

“We are excited to have onboard Miss. Reese, it’s wonderful for us that you joined us. At a very young age, you have achieved much and you are gorgeous,” Madam Grace from the HR department welcomed her with a warm smile.

Reese responded respectfully, “Thanks for your kind words mam; I am grateful to MU enterprises for accepting me and allowing me to prove my abilities to the fullest. I also admire you being reaching this position at such a young age with your hard work and intellectual capabilities. Thanks again.”

Madam Grace gave a jovial laugh after hearing such a flattering yet pleasant words. She praised her for her eloquent aptitude.

“Our CEO meets all our new interns on their first day but from last month he is quite busy with investors deal and one of the big projects for which meetings are planned today. He will meet you soon once settling all this. Let’s go and I’ll bring you to your department and introduced your colleagues.” She said.

Reese gave an agreeable smile and followed madam Grace.

When they reach the Design Department, she clapped her hands and gave a little shout, “Everyone here, let me introduce your new co-worker today!”

They all shifted their attention to her voice.

She said with a happy face, “Welcome Ms. Reese Beck, she has joined us as an architectural design intern. She just got back from London. Many of you must have heard her name as she has won many design competitions. We are glad that she chose to join us. She will be a part of your group number 7. Please take care of her.”

When she completed the speech, Reese came forward and respectfully bowed to all. With her mesmerizing voice, she said, “Hello everyone, I am Reese Beck. I am happy to be acquainted with you all and looking forward to a wonderful time ahead.

Members of the design group 7 were all astonished seeing the stunning beauty standing in front of them smiling with dazzling elegance. Be it, men or women, it was difficult for them to remove their eyes from her.

She was standing with grace and humbleness on her face which made people adore her more.

All of them roared in unison, “Welcome to our team. Our group 7 is blessed to have a beauty like you, some roared from behind.” Everyone laughed out loud.

Madam Grace called Nancy Liu, one of the colleagues of Reese, and said, “Nancy, I am handing Reese over to you, she a newbie so help her out. Mark is out for the new project meeting, he’ll come late in the evening. I’ll make a move.” With that, she smiled back at Reese and left.

Mark Lee was the group leader of the design group department.

Nancy Liu is a smart and fashionably dressed girl with a petite figure and a loving appearance. She generously welcomed Reese and showed her the working desk. On the very first day after completing all joining formalities, she easily transitioned into the working mode. And Nancy diligently helped her. They both were of similar age, so it became easier for them to communicate.

Nancy also likes Reese and was delighted with her modest nature. It was very easy going for them.

Reese expressed her sincere gratitude to Nancy and said, “Thank you Nancy for today.”

“No problem dear, you are most welcome. Please do let me know if you need any help. Feel free to ask.” Nancy cheerfully replied.

“Will do!” Reese said.

“Let’s carry on the work then,” Nancy replied. With that, both of them returned to their desk and busied themselves at work.

As it was the first day, so Reese was not having any work and was asked to go through the work SOPs and few old projects were shared to have an understanding of how projects are undertaken and initiated. For the whole day, she studied hard and got a clear understanding of the expectations of the organizations.

Later in the afternoon, Mark Lee came back.

Mark was a handsome man around 28-29 years old but a very knowledgeable and qualified professional in the field of architectural design. His contributions were notable in the industry. At such a young age he has already reached the peak position with his diligent hard work and sincere capabilities. His personality was gracious that gives comfort to all.

He came to group 7 and met Reese. She respectfully bowed and greeted him. Mark was also delighted to meet her. He was having a very sunny smile on his face which made Reese a bit relaxed. Reese was a peerless beauty so how can he also not get affected by that. But he maintained his professionalism and shakes hands with her. He spoke to Reese for a few minutes to understand her background and her expectations from her career.

He called everyone as he wants to announce the new project.

“I called you all to let you know we have received a very big project for which I want group 7 to work. It’s a designing of the resort cum amusement park but the challenge is it will on mountain areas. We not only have to just prepare the design but this time we also have to work along with the construction team till the end. This not only needs to have a magnificent and spectacular view but must carry the utmost safety too.”

One of the team members asked, “Which is the organization?”

“Its’ Sean Group!” Mark replied.

Hearing the name the entire team enthusiastically cheered up but Reese subconsciously looked a little bewildered and thought of Liam Sean came into her mind. She thought were they not in the mining business.
