CHAPTER 07

I opened my eyes and sat up on the bed. I looked around and frowned. "Why does heaven look like the old hell-ish world I was eliminated from?" I asked myself and tried to hop off of the bed. I screamed loudly as I felt a sharp pain in my leg when my toe touched the ground. It was not the same pain I felt when my leg was broken. But I still felt pain. That was when I noticed that my leg was plastered.
"Are doctors available in heaven? Do they plaster the broken bones? I did not imagine heaven to be like earth." I spoke to myself as I tried to get my leg back up on the bed. It was a very silky and soft bed.
"If it is not for this lovely, silky bed, I would have thought I was still on earth." I spoke to myself while rubbing my palm over the silky bed. I froze as I heard a chuckle. I quickly looked up and found Master Adrian standing by the door frame.
I narrowed my eyes as I watched him walking towards me. He sat on the edge of the bed and took my hand into him. I gasped as I witnessed the most impossible scene I had ever imagined in my life. I was shaking in fear while he was just sitting beside me, holding my hand. He was rubbing his thumb on the back of my hand.
It was the first time I was witnessing that unknown emotion. That emotion was called care. I was never cared, in the seventeen years of my life. It was very unusual for me. But still, it felt so good. It felt so good to be cared by someone. It felt so good to witness that unusual emotion for the first time.
"We all know that you were bought as a slave for me. But I never knew how old you were. I never knew how hard everything has been for you. I had some rules I made for my territory to follow. And keeping you here, I am breaking my rules. But that's the least of my cares. I made a mistake and I had to undo it. I did whatever I could to help you." He started explaining to me and I had a disappointed look on my face. He pinched my chin lightly and guided my gaze towards his.
"Why is this disappointed look on your beautiful face?" He asked me in a yummy british accent that made my stomach tickle from the inside. I felt myself drowning into his deep blue eyes. Like it was the ocean and I was a fish who wanted to drown in and breathe freely.
"Nothing, master. I thought I would have died and would be in heaven." I replied in my low tone that hinted my sadness clearly. He chuckled again and I just lost myself into his beautiful smile. I had never thought that the Master of the Cerberus territory, the one who was known as the living nightmare for every single being, the one who was never seen or heard without anger, that Master Adrian Cerberus was chuckling.
"Oh my dear lord Adrian Cerberus, I did not know you could look this gorgeous with your smile." I slapped my palm on my face but till then, it was too late. Those stupid words had escaped my lips already. I narrowed my eyes and Master was still holding my chin.
"Well that's the sweetest compliment I have ever heard into my life. Sorry to disappoint you but you are not in heaven. I saved your life." He replied and my jaw dropped on my lap. But before I could ask him anything, he just stood up and tucked me into the comforter. I was still puzzled but I knew for sure not to mess up with him. He was a time bomb. That could burst anytime.
"We can discuss the rest later. Right now, you need to rest. We have a lot to catch up as soon as you would recover from all these wounds." He said and I just nodded my head with my mouth agape. He went out of the room. I sighed in relief as he was gone. But my relief did not last long.
He came back into the room and locked the room. I shivered as I thought multiple possiblities of him saving my life then torture me more to satisfy his ego and his desires as a Master.
He must have heard my heart rate was rising up. He came to me and sat beside me. He sighed softly and again grabbed my hand. "I will not hurt you, Eve. I know everyone has been behaving like a jerk to you. But I will not hurt you." He cooed me into a honey sweet tone. I almost wanted to believe it. But I just did not know the motive behind his sudden care towards me.
"What changed? You never went against your rules. So why for me? What is so special about me?" I asked him the question I had in my mind.
"Simple, I found myself a new activity. And I am not done with you." He said and I gasped. Tears blurred my vision and I snatched my hand away from his hold.
"I just can not take it anymore. Please, kill me or let me go. I swear I did not do anything wrong. I never even harmed anyone in my life. Whatever my brothers had told you, it was all a lie. Please Master, I beg you. Kill me please." I started sobbing hard as I realized that he wanted to play with me. He wanted a toy and I would be perfect for someone like him to torture me and enjoy my sobs and screams for his mercy.
"You mistook my words. Let me tell you that clearly. Looks like the girl I went to buy, was actually the one I had been waiting for. I did not understand that either because of your hybrid powers, I guess. But now I know that I am on the right path." He replied and his words again flew off of my head.
"What right path? What do you mean, master?" I asked him with a frown on my face.
"I mean that I found my mate. And her name is Eve Daemonium." He replied with a smile on his face. My eyes almost popped out of its sockets as he told me the reason behind his care.

EVE'S POV:-I was standing on the balcony of Master Adrian's bedroom. He was still in bed. He did not wake up but I wanted to see the sun set. As I was not a vampire, I was able to see the sun. I always liked to sit into the sunlight and enjoy the warmth it offers to every single living being in this world. To be honest, I have ever prayed not to become a vampire. For me, the sun and its warmth was like a gift. Something I had never gotten into my life.I once had heard that a mother's arms were like the warmth of the sun. And the light of the sun belongs to a father. They lighten up the world of their children so they can grow bigger and stay healthy. For me, I did not have a mother who would protect me from cold and did not even have a father who would lighten up my world. But thank God that he had created the sun for people like me. For me, the sun was both my father and my mother.

MASTER ADRIAN'S POV:-The cart stopped in front of my palace. One of the drivers stepped out and opened the door of the cart for me. I stepped out with my bags in my hands.
