"Oh dear, can you pass me some sugar Augustine?" Mistress Galil said why holding her fan up in front of her face.

They've been ignoring me for the past hours since we arrived. Father said we should have some time alone with each other thus making us three have a mini tea party. I could clearly see the disgust in their eyes. 

The moment I've arrived at this house the ambience changed, the servants were tensed before they saw me. The surprised from the Mistress was evident, maybe she was thinking that the daughter of the Duke and late Duchess was never born. But to the loyal subordinates of father, I am well, kicking and alive. 

As the servants served me and helped me, I could feel their joy and annoyance to the two unwanted. As one greedy mistress and one prentending arrogant miss has been terrorising this household. 

I could also feel the uneasiness of the Mistress as she saw me enter the household, as the law claims the heir of one household is the child who born after a marriage. 

Clearly me being the sole heir other than her child because she is only looking like the prophecy's child. That must be the reason she's looking threatened by my presence as one word from me or one wrong move from them could clearly erased their titles.

Oh I can live with this, one bitchy step mother and arrogant prentending half sister because as soon as the real show begin I will reign.

We're inside this lovely library having some tea, the two was ignoring me clearly so I got myself a book to read while sipping my tea. They kept on blabbering about the trends and fashion and other girly things. 

They were simply being loud as if they're not inside a library which is a bit annoying. I was holding myself so hard to not scould them, if they can't respect me reading at least respect the place my mother loves.

I faked my cough to get their attetion to just shut up because they're so loud. 

Well it worked and now their attention's on me, the Mistress let out a chuckle while the Second Miss was smirking at me. 

"Oh dear, apologies August. It seems like we didn't knew you were still here, your easy to forget" she said and was followed by a chuckle.

"Oh dear my Step Mother, it seems you're getting old these days" I said not giving them the attention.

I could feel holes burn to me, they could kill me with their glares if they could.

"It seems you lack etiquette my dear Step Daughter, I think I should teach you then" 

"How generous of you Step Mother but I would decline.." I don't want to be like your kind.

"Well then, how was the life there? Being hidden from the Capital" I think I know where this conversation will be heading. 

"It was lovely, there was no parasites" I sipped my tea as I could see their faces become red, I did not come to this world just to be stepped on!

Before she could threw more insults at me, the door opened and it revealed Sir Ceao. As he made his way to me, I could see drool coming out of their mouths. I know my father is handsome in his age but knights like Sir Ceao from noble families have good looks too, and money.

I could already see their true colors.

"Greetings to Mistress and Second Miss" Sir Ceao said while bowing but his eyes not looking down. That's my knight!

The two of them was taken a back because of the actions and words he chose to said and do. Well, Sir Ceao respects everyone especially mother who he also swear he's life. I kind of think why he's like this to the Second Miss and Mistress because of me. 

"What made you come here, Sir Knight?" Mistress holds out her hand, she thinks Sir Ceao would hold that and kiss the back of it. I could also hear her small giggles like a teenager.

"I've come  to pick up Miss August, she needs to continue her studies even if she just arrive, Mistess. It's the role of the heir of the Esquello" the Mistress and Second Miss didn't expect that answer from the Knight Ceao, clearly drawing the line between his loyalty to me and respect for them.

"Is that so? Then maybe Sir Knight you can also help Augustine in here to her studies and swordsmanship?" the Mistress motioned for the Second Miss to stand up and bow to Sir Ceao as if they were expecting that the knight will accept it.

"My apologies Mistress, you might have misunderstood something. I only served the First Miss and was order to be only assigned at helping her" 

"W-Well, if that so" now the Mistress is left without any more words to say. 

"Excuse us Mistress and Second Miss" Sir Ceao bowed to the two and took my hand to guide me out of the library. 

The moment I step out of that library I could feel my breath returned from the toxicity of that room. It's so nice to not see them.

"How did you know I was suffocating in that room?" I curiously ask Sir Ceao as he guided us to the garden.

"You've been there for more than an hour which made me scare that you might have murdered them" I pouted at what he said and he just chuckled at me, he also helped me seat at the swing which was the highlight of the garden.

"Well, I cannot say any words to answer that"

"I know milday, I hope you will enjoy life here more than the countryside as you're more close to the Duke" he helped me swing myself lightly.

Sir Ceao has this green eyes and brown mocha like hair that kind of compliments his medium skin. I heard he's somewhat related to mother.

"Sir Ceao, can I ask you something?" I questioned him and stopped myself from swinging, I held my hair and looked up at him.

"What is it milday?" he's now in front of me with one knee down to meet my sight.

"They say you're related to mother, how did that happen?" I asked him while being mesmerize by his eyes, they're really a beautiful color.

"We're second cousins milday, I'm the son of the Marquess Leon who's your mother's Aunty" so that's why he has a high status in the high society.

"Well then, that must be the reason your handsome!" I giggled which made his ears red.

I didn't know he could blushed and be fluttered.

"Do you not feel tired milady? Shall we rest at that tree?" Sir Ceao pointed at the tree which is close to blooming, it has some siver blue flower buds.

"What tree is it?" I asked and got up coming closer to the tree.

"Your ancestors planted it milday, they say this is the tree that represents the power of House Esquello. It's a magical tree from the Nation of Shait" he smiled at me and helped me seat at the side of the tree.

"Is that so..." as soon as I sat down I feel like my eyelids are getting heavier and the ground is sinking.

Slowly I was in a black void again, I just feel asleep as soon as I sat down near that tree like my powers getting sucked away or maybe it's me getting sucked away.
