"Milady, the madam of the dress store is here" Sir Ceao said opening the door of my room after knocking, soon after a lady dresses in a beautiful blue lacey dress was inside my room.

"Greetings to the first miss of the Esquello" she politely bowed and gracefully stood still, I don't sense maliciousness from her.

"Greetings Madam" I said and bowed at her, putting down the book I was reading.

The Madam was eyeing me, looking like she's measuring me with her concentration she didn't even mind the gentlemen with us. As soon as she clapped her hand 4 ladies dressed in blue and light grey dresses entered the room, one even threw Sir Ceao out of the room.

It must have been a shame for a knight to be thrown out of a room without notice, especially Sir Ceao who has a high rank in father's army.

"May I know what colors you prepare to wear, my lady?" Madam asked while she motioned for her assistants to organize the dresses by my size.

"I prepare classic colors like beige, brown, fray, white, and some blues" I said and with that dresses in those colors where in front of me already. Some where simples, lacey and extravagant.

"Then please milady, try these and see for your comfort" Madam gestured the dresses in different colors and styles. 

I was kind of exhausted from all the try on's, I think I tried more than 10 dresses until I was annoyed by Lucia saying I should more and in the end I just picked a light beige with silver and red intricate design. 

Lucia was enjoying the whole time and the other assistant of Madam was also enjoying the view while I get to try more of their dresses like a sort of mannequin or doll!

After that they gave us the dress and Luuciia talked with the Madam concerning about the dress. I didn't bother listening and just layed down the bed. Who knew it was this exahausting to try on dresses?

"Milady?" Luciia called to get my attention, she was arranging some staff like necklaces and jewels.

"Yes, Lucia?"

"Aren't you happy that the Duke will finally introduce you as the First Lady of Esquello Household?" she asked curiously at me and stopped from what she's doing. I didn't bother getting up, I just placed my arm above my eyes and sighed.

"I don't know, maybe living as an unknown lady is better" I sighed again, Lucia didn't answered and there was no noise from all the jewels she was arranging a moment ago. 

I was about to change my sleeping position when I felt a hug surround me. It was just silence but I already knew who it was , for the years that passed in this life there was only one hug that felt this comfortable. 

Without any words I hugged Lucia back and with that I was swallowed by sleep.

The moment I woke up there was no Lucia beside me but a lot of servants sworn in my room. Some were preparing jewels and jewelry, some arranging clothes that look like I will need to wear and Lucia just entering the room having a breakfast in her hand.

"Rise and shine, my lady" she saiid and with that everything went on like a bliss.

I ate breakfast, brushed my teeth, washed my face, bathe and put on the dress we bought from Madam yesterday night. After all that they went through so much effort just to fix my hair that will suit my look in this dress then put jewels in the hairstyle. Lastly, they even put on light makeup on me. 

"You're now ready to attend the ball, milady" Lucia exclaimed in joy when they were satisfied with my look.

"Isn't this a bit too much?" I said as I watched the jewels and some pearl swayed with my hair in the mirror.

"No such thing is too much, milady you are beautiful and these jewels compliment your beauty" Lucia and the others exclaimed while clapping their hands like I'm sort of a 6 yeras old.

"If you say so" I was kinda used to this everything they would dress me up, they either treat me like a child or a doll. 

Thinking about it in my past life I was never treated like this by anyone, I was either disregarded or ignored by my parents or the poeple passing the street. How was my body treated there? Did they even buried my body properly? 

A faint wave of sadness passed me when a thought about my body from my past life being disregarded and not buried properly played in my mind. But again, there was no used of thinking about it because I'm now here and will never be back in that world.

A knock from outside pulled me back to reality, I was expecting Sir Ceao to enter but I was wrong, father entered the room causing Lucia and the other servants bowed to him and greet him. 

"You may all get out, I need to have a talk with my daughter" father exclaimed and with that we were quickly left alone the room.

"What is it father that you need to make Lucia and the others leave?" I turned to him not getting up of the vanity chair. Father has this disappointed look and dismayed eyes.

"I'm sorry Augustine, I thought I could make it up to you by being your escort later on the ball and introduced you as we enter but the second miss requested to the emperor that I will have to be her escort" I didn't move a muscle from the shock. I never thought he was planning to become my escort for this ball, is this that important? 

But more importantly, that bitch of a second miss is getting on my nerves. She knows that with the emperor's order father will never be able to disobey it for me.

"I understand it father, it was the emperor's order. I could take Sirr Ceao to the ball" I smiled at him and tried to cheer him up, father wants everything to make up for me only to be crashed by that bitch of a half sister.

"Also that, your step mother, Lialine, ordered your personal knight to be her escort" now what I feel is not just anger alone but strong feeling to murder two arrogant wanna be's. 

"Is there no one that could be my escort?" I tried to smiled sweetly but failed, those two was obviously trying to stop me from attending the ball.

"There's so many knights but you''re not familiar with them" father said then hugged me tight "I'm afraid you will either attend the ball with no escort and be stepped down by other nobles or just stay here" I pushed him away lightly and looked at father's eyes.

"There is someone" I said and walked to the door.

"Who could that be?" father asked being now curious.

"Someone who's rank at the knights is higher than Sir Ceao's" I smirked and opened the door but stopped because I forgot to kissed my father's cheek and utter a reminder "Please don't wait for me as I will need to fress the knight up and invite him to the ball" 

The Esquello Household arrived at the Imperial Palace without the First Miss. Later on the night, no one in that place thought that a beautiful lady would arrived with an escort who's high ranked in the knights.
