2020-10-28 23:10:37That afternoon I went back to mine. They both wanted me to stay but I was so used to being on my own, that I needed some space. Once I explained this to them they were happy to let me leave. I did have to promise them I would come back.
I was in my bedroom searching under my bed. Having looked through the photos this morning, made me want to look through the things I had. I found the box and sat on the floor while I opened it. There were lots of photos of me and her and her necklace that she never took of, not even for showers. I was lucky enough to receive this from social services when my mum passed. It was the only thing I got. It was my only piece of mum that I had left.
At that moment I decided that I would wear it and never take it off, just like my mum. I was always scared of wearing it just in case I lost it, it also didn't feel right to put it on but now it feels right. I looked in the mirror and couldn't believe how much I looked like my mum at this moment.
I sent a text to Sally, I needed my best friend.
Me - Hey. You free to come round?
Sally - I'm always free for you. I'm on my way. Xx
I got up to put the kettle on. I have a lot to talk about and will need plenty of tea to get through it all. Once Sally arrived, I led her to the table and handed her a cup of tea.
"Are we going to talk about?" she pointed to my belly.
"We will do but not yet." I paused and Sally looked at me with interest.
"I have something else I need to tell you." I looked down at my cup.
"Don't tell me you got married and I wasn't there!" She shook her head. "If you tell me that, I will be pissed off. I'm ment to be in your bridal party" she huffed.
I couldn't help but laugh. Sally didn't find this funny.
"Don't laugh at me. This is no laughing matter, Sophia." She looks like she is about to cry and scream at the same time.
"I didn't get married." I rushed out before Sally got more upset.
"Why did you let me scold you then?" Sally was now confused.
I took a deep breath. Sally looked like she was worried.
"Lewis" I started.
"What has that prick done. Let me know and I will sort him out." Sally said cutting me up.
"Will you let me talk." I waited for a reply from Sally. She just nodded her head yes.
"He is my brother. My twin brother."
"What! Shut up. Your pulling my leg" Sally laughed. "Good one Sophia."
"I'm being serious." I sighed. "I have only just found out."
After few minutes of silence Sally asked.
"How do you feel about all this?"
"I'm not sure to be honest." I looked at her and continued "I'm happy because I have a family. But scared as I don't think I am the person they would have expected." I paused. "They are rich, like really rich, it's scary. I'm just a no body, and I will always be a no body. I don't think I would ever fit into their life and if I don't, it will feel like I have lost my family all over again." I said with tears in my eyes. "I don't know how to feel or what to do. Why does everything have to happen to me."
"Sophia." Sally sighed and took my hands in hers. "Look at it this way. You have been given a second chance to be happy and to live a life most people would only dream of. Don't turn it down due to what has happen in the past."
After talking about everything with Sally, I was starting to feel better. She does that, makes me look at things differently, that is why I love her, she is my best friend after all.
I gave Sally a big hug "thank you for letting me rant at you about everything."
"That's what I'm here for. You would do the same, so no need to thank me." Sally hugged me back.
"You really need to hurry up and tell Hugo about the baby, the longer you leave it the harder it will be." Sally said as she was walking to the front door.
"I know, I know. I will do it soon. I Promise. " I smiled.
That night I went to sleep feeling a whole lot better. I'm truly thankful to have a friend like Sally, I don't know what I would do without her.
A week has gone by fast. Work has been busy and this baby in my belly has been demanding. No one apart from Sally knows about it. I need to tell Hugo first then I can tell my dad. Today is the day I'm going to tell Hugo. I'm going to go to his office and tell him.
Once I was ready I took a taxi to his office.
I paid the taxi driver and got out, I was immediately hit with the scale of the building, it must house several companies, right?
I walked in and up to the receptionist.
"Hi I'm here to see Hugo Styles."
"Everyone is here to see him. Does he know you are here?" She looked at me with a bored expression on her face.
"Yes" I lied.
"Go to the top floor and let the receptionist know you are here." She replied while looking at her computer.
I made my way to the top floor and walked to the receptionist.

I have spent the last three days at home being looked after by both Lewis and dad. It has been nice to have them with me, it's not how I thought I would be spending the first few days living with them.Today I have decided to go and see Hugo to let him know I lost our baby. ** Lewis point of view **Everything went by in a blur.The ambulance had come along with the firefighters. They had to cut Sophia out of the car, it was heart breaking to see it all happen.As I was getting checked over by the ambulance crew, a police man came to me to ask me questions. I answered the best I could but it happened so fast I couldn't really remember anything."Thank you for your time" the police officer said. "We will now take statements form the witnesses.
