"Hugo. Please take a seat." My dad said to me, so I did.
I only came round as mum and dad said it was important.
"You know me and your mum have wanted you to get married and settled down for some time. Well..." he paused and mum took his hand in hers.
"When Harriet, Charles's wife, was pregnant with the twins, we decided if one was a girl you and her would get married once you was of age." He sighed and mum took over.
"Unfortunately after the birth Harriet and the baby girl had disappeared from the hospital. Charles and Lewis were taken to a different hospital a few hours after they were born, as he had a few issues that need specialist care. When Charles went back to the hospital to pick up Harriet and his baby girl, they had vanished. The hospital said they had no record of her or the births." Mum now had tears running down her cheeks. I didn't know what to say. What can I say at a time like this.
Mum continued "it broke Charles completely, he had lost his wife and baby girl, luckily he had Lewis to take care off otherwise I don't think he would be here with us today. He has spent the last 24 years looking for them both." She started to smile.
"Lewis managed to find her a few months ago. I've never seen Charles so happy."
"He found his wife and daughter?" I was intrigued.
My dad sighed. "No son. He only found his little girl, his wife passed away years ago."
There was silence. No one spoke for a good 5 minutes.
"So what does this mean exactly." I was confused.
My dad spoke "this means that we want to go ahead with the agreement we made and marry you off to Charles daughter."
"WHAT! You know I'm dating someone. You said you would leave it to me." I was pissed. I also wasn't with Sophia but they didn't need to know that. I am hoping I can make amends with Sophia and get back with her. I still love her and I was wrong to not believe her.
"Darling you don't understand, we can't break this agreement if we do we will no longer be friends with the Lexingtons and we will lose all business with them. We can't afford to do that." Mum explained to me.
"Shit!" I cursed
"Son we will give you time to sort things out with Sophia, but this marriage will be going ahead."
I got up and left. Fuck. What am I going to do. I need to see Sophia and make amends with her and get her to meet my parents hopefully then they will cancel this whole arrangement.
I spent the week picking up my phone to call Sophia and then putting it back down. On the Friday I finally connected the call. I was extremely shocked when she agreed to meet me. After everything I thought she would tell me to piss off.
I got ready that evening to meet Sophia. I was extremely nervous. We are going to a pub for a few drinks and food.
I was sitting at our table waiting for Sophia to arrive. What if she doesn't come and stands me up... just as I was thinking this I looked up and there she was walking through the door looking absolutely beautiful, I wasn't the only one who thought so, all the men stopped what they were doing and looked at her with lust in their eyes. I instantly go jealous.
I stood up from my seat as she started to walk over. We sat down and just looked at each other, neither one of us said anything for a few minutes till the waiter came over for our order.
"Yes I will have a whiskey. Thank you."
"I will have a white wine." Sophia smiled.
It was such a beautiful smile, I couldn't help but smile too.
After another pause of silence I decided to speak. "I just want to start by saying thank you for meeting me today."
"What is this all about? You said you didn't won't to see me again, which I agreed to. But now you think it's okay to just call me and meet up? She questioned looking mighty pissed off.
"Well I wanted to see you, so I could apologise in person." I paused and looked in her eyes. "I'm so sorry Sophia, for not believing you."
She opened her mouth in shock and closed it quickly. "If that's all you have to say. I'm going to go. Thank you for the apology."
She got up to leave, so I grabbed her hand to stop her and I felt the connection again. I could tell she felt it too.
"Please sit and hear me out." I pleaded with her.
She sat back down and nodded her head.
"The night before we had sex, you said you was a virgin but when we did it, it confirmed to me that you wasn't." I started.
She just looked away as tears formed in her eyes. I took her hand in mine and she looked back at me.
"You lied to me. So when you told me I was the father of your baby I instantly thought that was a lie too." I took a deep breath.
"I should have known you wouldn't have lied about something like that, your not the type of person to do that." She was just looking at me with no emotion on her face apart from the tears that were rolling down her face.
"After you left my office the last time, I realised I was wrong. I was just to stubborn to admit it and reach out to you." I sighed.
"I hope you can forgive me Sophia. I also hope you are okay after everything you have been through."

I have spent the last three days at home being looked after by both Lewis and dad. It has been nice to have them with me, it's not how I thought I would be spending the first few days living with them.Today I have decided to go and see Hugo to let him know I lost our baby. ** Lewis point of view **Everything went by in a blur.The ambulance had come along with the firefighters. They had to cut Sophia out of the car, it was heart breaking to see it all happen.As I was getting checked over by the ambulance crew, a police man came to me to ask me questions.
