Chapter 4: Mate

Morgan's POV

I slammed the papers on my table after reading what's in it. This fucking rogues are getting out of control. This needs to be stop.

"Alpha Morgan we found someone inside our borders"

It's my beta Klaus, mind linking me.

"Is it a fucking rogue again?" I growl out in frustration.

"No. It's a human, guessing by her smell"

"How the fuck did she get on my pack lands" I growled again. I don't want another problem. I'm still not done with these fucking rogues.

"We don't know. She's bloody and unconscious"

"Just fucking kill her or make her a slave when she wakes up. You can handle that Klaus. I still have a fucking big problem to take care of" I said with finality. Ending the conversation.

"Alright. Masusunod kamahalan" I can sense the teasing in his voice. I fucking wanna rip his throat. Damn ass.

"Fuck you Klaus" I heard him chuckle before closing the mind link.

Klaus is not just a beta to me. He's a close friend of mine. We've been friends since childhood. His father is my dad's beta before I assumed the position.

My office door suddenly swings open. I turn around annoyed at the rude interruption and I'm faced with my gamma, Randall.

"Hindi ka ba marunong kumatok?" I growled at him. He just smirks and sit at the sofa in front of my table. I want to strangle him.

He's a childhood friend too. The three of us, Klaus, me and Randall. His father is my dad's gamma. We got trained and assumed our positions together.

"Dude hindi ka makakapaniwala sa nangyari" he's smiling like an idiot. The fuck is wrong with him?

"What?"

"I met my mate" his smile grows wider. He continued "I can't fucking explain the feeling Morgan. It's heaven.

"Mates are pain in the ass. It's just a weakness" I said seriously.

"Wait till you meet yours" he laughs

"I don't even know if my mate is still alive. I lived for over 103 years without having one. Hindi ko siya kailangan"

"I thought so too but it suddenly changed when I met her" I'm slowly getting annoyed by his wide smile. Fucking smitten.

"Morgan!"

It's Klaus again.

"What is it?" I asked

"Kailangan mo pumunta dito. We found a new one. This time it's our warrior again"

"Okay I'll be right there" then I closed the mind link and turned to my gamma.

"Let's go. They found a new one inside our borders" I said.

We hurriedly run outside and shift into our wolves. I'm a charcoal grey wolf. Larger than the other wolves because of an alpha king's blood running through my veins. My paws pound the ground hard as we got deeper into the woods. We slowed down when we saw Klaus and some of our pack warriors just beside our borders. We went to a neaby tree with a clothes hanging in there and shifted back into our human form. As soon as we finished taking the clothes on we went where Klaus and the warriors are.

"We found this letter in his clothes" Klaus gave me a paper. I hurriedly opened it and it says

Get ready King. We will finish all of you

"I think it's the one that controlling the rogues who send that" Randall said.

I clenched my teeth staring at the paper. Whoever the fuck he is I'll soon find out. They're really testing me. Oh well let's see. Surely a war is brewing.

"Bumalik na tayo. Bring that warrior to the pack clinic" I ordered.

We shifted into our wolf form and run back into the pack.

"Klaus, Randall let's go and pay a visit to the pack warriors training" I mind linked them.

They quickly followed me. Maybe they mind link the pack warriors who's with us too. They didn't bother when we change the path we are taking and they just continued bringing the dead warrior to the pack's clinic.

As soon as we get there. We shifted back into our human form and wear the clothes that's hanging in the tree. We walked to the field where the pack warriors are training.

They greeted us when they saw us coming then continued their training. The head warriors is the one who's responsible for their trainings. We just watched them and while watching them I smelled something. There was a scent in the air that's driving me crazy. I felt some unexplainable energy. Even my wolf, Zeus who's silent the whole time suddenly perks up.

"I can feel her!" he said. Pacing back and forth in my head.

"Who?" I asked him. I turn around to find where's that smell coming from.

"Our mate! Malapit lang siya!" he growled and wagged his tail. I can feel the overflowing happiness my wolf is feeling. As I scanned the area I saw a beautiful girl with a warrior behind her. My heart suddenly raced. I don't know what's fucking wrong with me but I had the quick urge to rush over her and feel her in my arms.

"Mate!" Zeus exclaimed. We saw her walking away and Zeus whined, wants to be let out and follow her.

"Let's say hi to our mate!"

"No!" I yelled at him. I've learn to control all my feelings by training for 98 years. Finding my mate won't change anything. It's just a weakness and I don't fucking need it.

"But she's our mate! We need to go after her!" He whimpered. She's nowhere in sight anymore but the feelings that I felt still lingers in me and I hate it. My wolf is livid and still trying to be let out. I clenched my fist, trying to control him to not take over me.

"Hey okay ka lang?" I heard Klaus asked.

They're both looking at me.

"Yeah" I answered.

Zeus kept whining at me all day about our mate and I'm starting to get pissed. The mate bond is so strong that even me can't get her  off of my mind the entire day. I can't focus on my paperworks. It's frustrating that I wanted to see her and feel her presence again. Damn I think I'm going crazy! And before I forgot, she's a fucking human for fucks sake! The moon goddess paired me with a fucking human!
