Chapter 11: Unknown Power

Immediately Peter left, Kathryn continue what she was doing. She took all the necessary documents she would be needing at work from her drawer, and put it inside her briefcase.

After about thirty minutes, she finished with the packing and went over to the sitting room to meet her parents. Kathryn was super excited when she got there, and met her parents talking and laughing out loud. 

She couldn't believe her eyes at first until she move closer to them to hear what exactly they're talking about. Surprisingly, they are talking and joking about their first night when they got married without noticing that she's right behind them.

"You made the first move on me that night because i was a novice in that aspect." Peter said to her lovingly with a wink.

"No no no! It was you who touched me first with your big palm." Helen disagree with smiles. Peter was about to say something else when Kathryn quickly cut in. 

*Clears throat*

Peter and Helen suddenly looked back when they heard someone clearing throat. "Oh you're through?" He asked as his eyes met with Helen's.

"Yes dad! It seems you two have forgotten that there's still a spinster in this house right?" Kathryn asked as she fold her two arms together while staring at them.

"I told you to keep your voice low but you didn't listen." Helen whisper to Peter.

"You didn't keep your voice low either!" Peter argued while whispering to her also. 

"What are you two whispering about again?" Kathryn laughed as she went to sit besides her father.

"Don't mind your dad! He can be naughty at times." Helen quickly interjected when she saw that Peter was about to say something else and they all burst into laughter.

"Dad, you said you want to talk to us about something important?" Kathryn asked.

"Yes, and I know what I'm about to say will definitely be a surprise to you just like the way i was when i got to know also." 

"What could that be?" Kathryn asked with a smile.

"Exactly! What could it be Peter?" Helen backed her daughter up as she roll her eyes to look at her husband.

"I just got to know about the full prophecy that we weren't told about years ago from Vincent, my old time friend." Peter paused to see their reaction. And just as he expected, they were both shocked.

"Which full prophecy?" Helen asked as she and Kathryn looked at each other at a time in bewilderment.

"It's about the lost Alpha I've been looking for. The Alpha was born alongside his guardian angel according to the full prophecy."

"Guardian angel? But Peter, i thought the Alpha was supposed to be from our packs right? That's what we all knew then and there's nothing like guardian in the prophecy." Helen seems confused since she was the only one that was pregnant in their family during that time.

"That's what we all believed in but unfortunately, it didn't happen. So he was given birth to in another city alongside his guardian angel in a different city also."

"So what information have you gotten about the Alpha and the guardian?" Helen inquired.

Peter took a deep breath as he continues. "The Alpha is in Hillsboro presently but no one knows where exactly he is over there yet. And the guardian is currently here in our city."

Helen adjusted her sitting position as she began to calculate some possible events that happened years ago. "The guardian is here in our city?" Helen suddenly ask all confused.

"Yes! And a matter of fact, Kathryn is the guardian that was born alongside the Alpha."

Helen was shocked as she stares at her daughter.

Kathryn wasn't that attentive to what they've been saying about the Alpha, because of what she has been through in the past all in the name of Alpha. The way they were discussing the issue, it was actually bringing back her old bad memories. So she decided not to pay much attention to it.

Immediately she heard her name and being the guardian angel, all things around her stopped at that moment. She turned to look at her mom's expression, but was disappointed that she wasn't that surprised as she expected. 

Then she turned back to her dad; she just kept on staring at him without a blink. She could see the movement of his mouth but can't hear anything at that moment.

Helen and Peter notices how Kathryn has been carried away in her thought, and they seems worried about it. So they tried calling out her name but she wasn't answering.

Helen stood up and went over to sit besides her. Then she tapped her on the back, and everything returned back to normal for Kathryn. "Are you okay dear?"

Kathryn raised her head up a bit as she took a glance at mom angrily; and clench her fists so tight. Her eye lids were already full of tears, and ready to start falling anytime she bring her head down.

Peter remained silent as he study her actions. He realized how furious she is and decided to calm her down. 

He was about to place his left hand on her shoulder when Kathryn suddenly yelled at him. "Don't you dare lay a finger on me!!!" Her voice echoed as she brings down her head to look at him.

"Aaaaaaaaaah!!"

Peter screamed as he jumped up from his sit with fear when he sees something strange in her eyes. Her eyes turned red like blood, and he saw an angry coldblooded red Wolf in them howling loudly while hitting the chest.

Kathryn did not budge a bit as she sat rooted there. Helen saw how scared her husband is with the way he was panting heavily, so she stood up and move closer to him.

"What happened Peter?" She started rubbing his back. 

"i-i- it's your daughter! There's something in h-h-h-her e-e--eyes!" He stammered while pointing his finger at Kathryn.

Helen was dumbfounded and surprised to see her husband act like this. To confirm what he just said, she walk slowly to Kathryn's front to see her eyes...
