Chapter 14: Strong Connection

Kathryn woke up to see herself in the arms of a handsome man who is around his late twenties. He put on a smiling face as he calls her out in a lovingly manner.

"Miss beautiful!! Are you okay?"

When Kathryn opened her eyes clearly, she quickly pushed him away as she gets up from the floor. "Who are you sir and why are you here?"

"You can call me Jackson. I'm also a staff here in this company." He replied with a smile as he stands too; then he stretch forth his hand towards her.

"Okay mr Jackson, what exactly are you doing here?" She ignored his hand as it seems awkward to her. 

Jack returned his hand back to the pocket without feeling bad. "I came to confirm  something but was surprised when i met you unconscious on the floor. So i tried waking you up... Are you really okay?"

"Thanks, I'm okay. What do you want to confirm?" Kathryn gave him an unpleasant look.

"Are you the new marketer?"

"Yes!"

"Alright, see you around then." Jack left her alone without a feedback from her side and head back to his office.

He removed his jacket and loosen his tie when he gets in. 

"An Omega here in HGC? I'm sure Hannah already knew about her and would be looking for a way to eliminate her. I need to start acting fast to get hold of the Alpha first because that's probably why Hannah is here too!"

Jackson reminded himself and brought out his mobile phone to make a call.

"Hello, i will forward a name to you after this call. Please look into it for me thoroughly as soon as you can."

"Okay boss!" A familiar masculine voice was heard from the other end as he end the call.

*Beeped*

A young man who is in a restaurant eating, pick up his phone to check what was sent to him. (Kathryn Morgan) "What's so special about this particular lady?"

When it was time to close from work, Hannah went over to Kathryn's office to greet her. 

"Hi Kathryn!!" Hannah greet her with a smile as she enters.

Kathryn that wasn't expecting anyone was surprised when she sees Hannah and the way she greeted her as if they've known each other before.  

"Miss Hannah right?" Kathryn gave her a questioning gaze. 

"Yes! Hannah Federico."

"Federico?" Kathryn seems shocked at the mention of that name.

"Exactly! Is anything wrong with it?" Hannah caught the looks on her face when she heard her surname.

Kathryn quickly compose herself when she sees how inquisitive Hannah is. "Not at all Miss!" She replied with a smile.

"Can you please stop being formal with me? It's making me feel uncomfortable. Moreover, am sure i would just be older than you with a year or two. And we are both marketers in this company. Calling me Hannah will do." Hannah pleaded with her with a fake smile.

"Alright Hannah." Kathryn replied.

"Good! We will see tomorrow then!" Hannah leaves....

Kathryn stood up and was about to step out when her phone suddenly beep. She removes it from the bag and saw that, it was from her friend. 

'Hi Kathryn! sorry to inform you that, i won't be around for a week. But i dropped the house key for you under the foot mat. Much love from Alice...'

After Kathryn read the message, she returned the phone back into her bag and walked out. She bumped into Jackson who was in a hurry to meet up with Desmond who just stepped out of the company. He spilled a coffee on her and didn't look back to apologize.

"What dah f**k is this?" Kathryn screamed out loud as he walked pass her and exit the door.

She tried dusting her suit jacket but the stain already glued to it. Then she decided to manage it till she gets back home.

When she got out, she saw Desmond and Jack discussing besides Desmond's car. She just walked pass them without raising her head to look at their direction.

'Look back!! The Alpha is right behind you!!' Kathryn halted immediately she heard some  strange voices in her head. She turned to look back but didn't see anyone. Desmond and Jack are already gone.

"I must be over stressed to be having a weird thoughts." She turned around and heads home.

Desmond felt like not going home yet, so he stopped at a bar to have some drinks.

The bar is long and has interesting layout with a large V-shaped bar and well kept pool table. The pool hall has high ceiling and pop art. 

The spacious patio is purposely covered in greenery that provides privacy and interesting textures, plus dim lighting for the evenings and a portrait of the worlds most interesting man that makes the place so notable.

Desmond sat at one corner drinking when he heard a step approaching him. 

"So you come to places like this too sir?" Hannah walked towards him and sit.

Desmond seems happy immediately he set eyes on Hannah. "And what are you doing here also Miss?" He asked with a smile.

"I was all alone at home, so i thought of exploring Hillsboro. The cab i hired recommended this bar to me as the best. What a coincidence meeting you here Sir." She readjusted her hair to the back of her ear with a smile.

"Just call me Desmond since we aren't at work."

"Alright si--- i mean Desmond." They both laughed.

"Let me know when next you wants to explore the city, i will gladly accompany you. Okay?" Desmond told her.

"I will really appreciate it. Thanks..."

*Clicks*

Desmond was about to drink the wine in his hand when he suddenly heard a shutter of a camera. He dropped the glass cup back on the table, and turned to check other direction.

He saw someone putting on black shirt, and blue pant with red face cap holding a camera while running out of the bar. He stood up abruptly to follow the person, but suddenly  felt a soft touch holding his hand.

"Where are you going to?" Hannah inquired with a sweet voice.

"Give me a minute, i would be right back." He removed her hand from his, and ran after the person...
