Chapter 13: Uncontrollable Hatred

Hannah and Desmond followed in immediately Kathryn went inside. The two ladies were taken to their offices to resume to work. Their offices is right next to each other because they're going to be working on the same job.

When Desmond got to his office, he put a call through to his secretary and inform her that, the two marketers must report to his office as soon as possible. Then he hangs up.

The secretary quickly put a call through to them and explain what the CEO relay down to her. After about five minutes or so, Hannah was the first person to get to his office, followed by Kathryn after two minutes.

"Miss Kathryn, I'm sure you know am the boss here, and you need to abide by my rules right?" Desmond glare at her.

"Definitely sir!" Kathryn replied feeling uncomfortable with the way he is staring at her. 

"Then why would i call a meeting and you're coming late?" 

"But sir, i----"

"No room for excuses here! Just make sure it doesn't repeat itself!" Desmond cut in angrily.

"Alright Sir!" Kathryn responded with a sad expression.

Hannah just sat there quietly as she observes both of them. She seems really happy to know that, Desmond dislike Kathryn just as she wanted. "You called for us sir?" Hannah asked with an energetic tone.

"Yes miss Hannah! Actually we would be launching a new product in a month time, and would assign a different task to you both concerning the new product. So, the success of the launching will depend on the great efforts you're going to put in. Understood?"

"Absolutely sir! Since we don't have much time left, i think it's better we should get the task right away in order to start preparing for the big day." Hannah replied calmly.

"Exactly Sir! I total agree with her." Kathryn backed her up also.

Then Desmond brought out two files from his drawer and hand it over to each of them. "This is what you both are going to work on."

They both collected it from him while Hannah was the first to open hers. She smiled when she saw what's inside and it seems like a cupcake to her.

Immediately Kathryn opened her own file, her smiles fade away instantly. She raised her head to look at Desmond who was already staring at her. 

"Any problem miss Kathryn?" Desmond asked pretending not to know what's going on.

"Not really sir, but the task assigned to me seems different from what i said I'm good at in my CV that i submitted." Kathryn replied.

"Oh, are you saying you can't do it or what?" Desmond tried pushing words into her mouth.

"Not really sir. But------"

"There's no but miss Kathryn, because that's what you're implying. And if you know you can't handle it, kindly give it to miss Hannah to complete the whole tasks." Desmond intentionally shut her up. 

Hannah couldn't describe the way she is feeling right there. It seems to her like, she's on top the whole world at that moment. And she just kept smiling all through.

"I can do it!" Kathryn replied with a frown as she clench her fist tightly on the file.

"Good! That's all, you can both leave now." Desmond made a hand gesture for them to go. His personal assistant comes in immediately they left. 

"But sir, do you think she can handle it?" His PA ask while he sit across him. 

"I know she won't be able to." Desmond responded.

"But if she fails, the launching would be a mess. Have you thought of that sir?" He seems worried.

"Don't you worry Steven, i have a plan B to make my launching a success. I only gave that task to her in order to get rid of her in front of the boards." Desmond let out a chuckle with a bewitching smile as he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his head...

"This is really unfair!! He did it intentionally. What exactly have i done wrong to deserve all this punishment from him?" Kathryn screamed and threw away the file on her hand inside her office. 

She was about to explode in anger as she feels a pain in her head and her eyes started closing slowly. All of a sudden, she lost consciousness... 

On the other hand, Hannah was really happy when she got to the office. She brought out her mobile phone and calls her dad to share the good news. "Hi dad!"

"How are you my lovely daughter?" 

"I'm great dad." She replied with an exciting tone.

"It shows in your voice. So what's good?"

"Well dad, our plans are really going smoothly as we want. And in no time, Kathryn would be out of the picture. I would be able to gain full access to the company and find the Alpha."

"Wow that's my girl... Just keep on updating me what's going on. Okay?" Federico sounds relived.

"Okay dad! And i think the perfect time to execute our plans is on the launching day we are all working on."

"That's good. Everyone would be busy that very day right?"

"Yes dad... Talk to you some other time." Then  she hangs up when someone knocks on her door. "Come in"

She raised her head to see the person she detest most in her life after what happened between them two years ago.

"What are you doing here?" She asked surprisingly as she stands up.

"What? Aren't you happy to see me again after two years of separation?" A thick masculine voice that could send shivers down to the bone was heard from the door.

"Answer my question, what exactly are you doing here?" Hannah yelled at him.

"Isn't it obvious from my outfit and how i got to your office? I work here Hannah!!" 

"No no no!!! It's impossible... You came here because you're still stalking me up to this moment Jack. I'm going to shout so you can be dragged out of here this minute." Hannah said confidently.

She was about to shout before Jack cut in; "Go ahead and make a scene and see whose reputation is going to get tarnish." He said with a smile.

Hannah controlled her temper and stare at him angrily. 

"Mark my words Jack, i will definitely get back at you..."

"Immediately i found out you're here, i knew you and your dad has an evil agenda cooking up. And believe me, i won't let you succeed this time around like you did two years ago." 

He replied her and bang the door as he steps out. Hannah became furious and worried when he left.

"I need to do something very quick, Jack can't get in my way!!" She says to herself while pacing up and down in the office....
