Chapter 2: Prophecy

When Miranda got home, she met her husband at the doorway waiting for her. "Where have you been since morning?" Harrison asked angrily as he saw how his wife is stressed out and it was written all over her.

She moves closer to him and tried explaining how her day went; "I left the college early, but had some issues on my way back home". Harrison was frightened immediately she mentioned having issues on her way home.

"What issue? Hope you and my baby are doing well?" He asked with all seriousness.

Miranda let out a chuckle as she sees how worried her husband is; "Common Harrison, we are okay. The issue i said earlier was that, the taxi driver had a flat tyre. So, we had to wait for a while before he got another tyre and fixed it."

"You see!! this is what i was referring to when i told you that, i should hire a driver for you. At least he would be the one to go and drop you in the morning and pick you up during the day also. But you refused totally". He said while he collect her bag and they both heads inside.

"This is nothing Harrison. After all, I'm okay" She replied as she sit on the couch.

"Miranda, you would be giving birth soon, i think it's high time you pay heed to my words and stop working!" Harrison said while he serves her water.

"It's alright dear... I already quitted today". She gulps down the water. Harrison was so happy when he heard her and couldn't hold his happiness; "Wao!! That's good to know honey. I love you".

After they chit chatted for a while, Miranda goes to the room to freshen up, and comes back to join her husband at the dinning table to eat. It was already 9:30pm when they finishes eating. 

Harrison told her he would be busy with work that night, and he heads to the library to avoid any disturbance. Miranda was left all alone in the sitting room and was feeling bored. 

She steps out to take some fresh air. Then she sat in the garden to continue reading her novel. Unknowingly, she didn't notice there's a full red moon. Because, she was carried away with the book she's reading at that moment.

Helen was already sleeping when one of her maids came to wake her up for her walk at night. By the time she goes out, the red moon has started turning into white full moon. 

She was so scared and worried if her husband later got to know that, she didn't come out during the red full moon. Because he already called to remind her about it during the day.

Both Miranda and Helen felt a sharp pain inside of them immediately the whole moon turned white. All the maids were peeping through the window to check on Helen, but they dared not to come out to help her due to Peter's warning.

He already told them that, whenever his wife is about to give birth, none of them should help her or step outside the house. Peter knows that, nothing would happen to Helen; and she will give birth peacefully.

Miranda dropped the novel she's reading immediately she felt the pain, and tried standing up. Their water broke at the same time and before they could know what's going on, their babies popped out while they were still lying on the floor.

The maids quickly comes out immediately they sees that the moon has gone back to normal. They picked Helen and the baby up and heads straight inside.

After the baby popped out, Miranda screamed and started shedding tears of joy immediately she saw her baby. Her husband came running to her when he heard her screamed. But was surprised when he sees the little cute baby boy on the floor.

He quickly brings out his phone and call their family doctor to come over to the house. After Miranda was taken care of, the doctor left after diagnosing her and didn't see any injury or complication. Though, he was surprised how the baby got out safely without any help and it seems like a miracle to him.

Harrison was holding the baby in his arms when the shawl mistakenly removes from the baby's arm. He saw a little crown on the baby's left shoulder and was surprised. 

But he didn't pay much attention to it because, he was so happy that, he is now a father...

Peter rushed home immediately he was informed that, Helen has put to bed. When he got home, the first thing he asked was the baby's gender; but was somehow disappointed when he found out that it's a baby girl.

"Well it's okay! So, have you checked the baby's left shoulder?" Peter asked Helen with anxiety. 

"I already did; but didn't find any crown on her shoulder". Helen replied as she tries not to meet his eyes.

"What!!! That can't be true!" Peter said while he moves closer to where the baby is placed, and checked her both shoulders. But he was surprised as he couldn't find the crown anywhere on her body.

"This can't be happening!!" Peter screamed and turns to Helen; "Tell me the truth Helen, did you actually went out during the red full moon?" He asked with a harsh tone. 

Helen wanted to tell him the truth but couldn't bring herself to do so. "Of course i did Peter. I was outside the house throughout the night before i gave birth".

"Then what exactly happened? The prophecy can't be false". Peter said with a confused expression.

"I have no idea too" Helen responded without looking at him with a guilt conscience...

*At Corvallis City*

"Are you telling me that, the child Helen gave birth to, has no sign on her body according to the prophecy?" A old man who is around his late 60's but look younger than his age asked a young lady who is standing before him while bowing down her head. 

"Yes your highness! We did a thorough check on the baby, but nothing was found sir". The young lady replied.

The man let out a heavy laughter as he walks over to the lady; "I knew it! The Morgan's family actually fabricated the prophecy just to look more superior than us. I know it's all a fairy tale... Thanks dear, you can leave now".

The man said as he makes a hand gesture for the lady to leave. But she hesitated for a moment before she finally tells the man what's bothering her; "Sir, you promised to compensate me?" She asked.

"Oh my bad! Forgive me child" The man said and then, he dip his hand into his pocket, brings out some money and hand it over to her. With excitement, the lady collected the money and leaves.

Immediately she left, the man made a signal to one of his personal guards to move closer to him. He then whisper to the guy's ear; "Make sure she doesn't get home. You know what to do". He tapped the guard shoulder and heads to his room.

When he got inside the room, he moves closer to the bed and sit while facing the standing mirror;

"We the BETA (Yellow werewolves) would be the one to rule all the human wolves by becoming the king of all wolverine". He said as he howl happily...
