Chapter 7:- First Snow of the Winter

It was already 5pm, I sat in my hospital chamber and was going through my evening schedule.

"Doc!!", I suddenly heard Yeona's voice as she came inside and stood in front of me.

"Yes?? What is it??", I asked while looking back at what I was going through.

"Mr. Ho-Jun wanted to change his appointment time from tomorrow morning to today evening".

"Ok! Tell him to come around 7:30pm".

"Okay Doc".

With that Yeona left. I opened a case file and started to go through it. By the time I finished reading it, it was already 6:50pm, I looked out of my window and saw that the sky had already turned pitch black. 

I was free for the time being, so I decided to take a scroll, my legs have turned numb from sitting here all day long. 

As soon as I got out of the room, I saw Minho making his way towards me. 

"Yo!", he said with a cheerful smile playing on his lips.

"Hey Minho!", I said with a straight face. 

"Why are you like this, can't you give me a nice smile also??", he said while looking at me with his puppy eyes.

"No", I replied without any hesitation, I was used to his puppy eyes technique.

"But you still look beautiful", he said and winked at me.

"You know right that your flirting doesn't work on me".

"I know! So, where are you heading to princess??".

"Going for a scroll. My legs had turned numb from sitting here all day long".

"Oh I see. Why don't I come with you??".

"Don't you've any work at the moment??".

"Yes I had a surgery to perform, but it got postponed", he replied while shrugging his shoulder.

"Ok then".

"Hey Minji! Why don't we head to the nearby convenient store and buy something to eat. I didn't had my lunch today and I'm surviving now".

"Fine with me. Should we call Junsoo too??".

"Ok let's call her then".

We both headed towards Junsoo's chamber, but she was not there. 

"Where did she go??", I asked while looking inside the room.

"I don't know.....maybe she had work to do. Let's head there without her".

"Well okay".

We headed down to the ground floor, as we passed by the corridor, few doctors and nurses greeted us. Although, me and Minho were here for only one year, but still most of the hospital staffs showed a lot of respect to us. 

When we came here one year ago, nobody really knew us, but as time passed by, we both became the Chiefs of our respective departments and everybody eventually started to know about us. We were the youngest among the Chiefs of other departments.

Almost everybody knew Minho in the hospital. He was especially famous among nurses and female doctors, as he's damn handsome and charming, but his charms doesn't work on me though.

From the very start, we both got along very well with each other, we always joke around and make fun of each other. When we get mad at each other, we chase after one another in the hospital, for that we always get scolding from our seniors. But the scolding also couldn't change us, now the seniors also have got used to it.

There were rumours also, that we both were a couple. I didn't bothered with those rumours, neither did Minho.

As we headed towards the hospital gate, we saw Mr. Lee standing there doing his duty.

"Good evening, Mr. Lee", I greeted him as we approached the gate.

"Good evening, Chief Kim and Minho", he greeted back with a bright smile.

"Good evening, Mr. Lee", Minho greeted him.

"So, where are you two heading to??", Mr. Lee asked while looking at us curiously.

"We're heading to the nearby convenient store, to grab something to eat", Minho answered quickly.

"Oh I see. Cross the road carefully then and watch the cars. It's soon gonna start snowing, so don't be too late or else you guys will catch a cold", Mr. Lee told us in a fatherly tone.

"Sure", me and Minho said in unison and left.

We crossed the street and went inside the store. We saw Jae-Bong reading a magazine when we entered. Jae-Bong was the cashier of the store and me and Minho knew him very well, as we usually come here to buy snacks. Jae-Bong was a nice boy, he worked part time here. 

"Hey dude!!", Minho waved at Jae-Bong as soon as he saw him. 

"Hey man!!", Jae-Bong waved back.

"Hey Minji!!", he waved at me, when he saw me.

"Hey Jae!!".

"So, came here to grab snacks??", he asked.

"Yeah", Minho replied.

With that we went to grab few snacks, Minho brought chips and coke, while I brought biscuits.

We paid the bill and stood there for sometime, to talk to Jae-Bong.

"So, Minji! Now, are you both in a relationship??", Jae-Bong asked while smiling at me.

"To your disappointment, we are not", I said with smile.

"Ah, when will my dream come true!? I want to see Minji and Minho's ship sail", he said while weeping his crocodile tears.

"Your dream won't come true in this lifetime", I said while laughing at him.

We stayed in the store, talking to Jae-Bong for sometime.

"Ok now guys, we're getting late. We should head back now", suddenly Minho voice came.

"Oh ok, see you later Jae!", I said.

"Yah, see you later Minji and you too Minho".

"Yeah", Minho replied and we left.

As soon as we crossed the street and looked back, we saw Jae-Bong running towards us.

"Hey Minho! You forgot your wallet on the counter", he said while breathing heavily.

"Thanks man!!", Minho exclaimed and took his wallet from Jae-Bong.

"It's ok! See you later Min Min", Jae-Bong winked at Minho and quickly left.

I stood there trying to control my laugh, but I couldn't hold it anymore as soon as I looked at Minho and burst out laughing. Minho glared at me.

"It's all your fault", he said while pointing his finger towards me.

"Huh!? How come it's my fault??", I said while looking at him with big innocent eyes.

"Don't give me that look. Because of you mostly everyone calls me 'Min Min' ", he said through gritted teeths.

"But the name is cute, don't you think so too??".

"No! It sounds like you're calling a girl's name"

"Then, it's not my fault. It's your fault to have such a pretty face like a cute little girl", I said while sticking out my tongue.

"You------- I'm gonna kill you today".

As soon as he said that, he started chasing after me. Minho was chasing after me and I was running very fast. Then suddenly, I bumped into something, as I was not looking straight.

"Ouch----", I exclaimed.

"My hand----", I heard a familiar voice, when I looked to see, I was shocked, it was Ho-Jun.

I was about to fall, when suddenly he held me in his arms.

He held me by my waist, so that I don't fall down. We stayed in that position as the snow started to fall. It was the first snow of the Winter.

"Why did you changed your appointment from yesterday to today", Namjoon asked me while looking ahead on the road, as he continued driving.

"I heard that today it's gonna snow, so if we head out tomorrow we possibly would have a hard time on the road in our car due to the snow", I replied while looking out of the window.

"Well, that's pretty considerate of you".

"Yeah".

We soon reached the hospital. 

"Jungkook, you go to have your check-up and I'll take a walk around here. When you're done just give me a call, ok??", Namjoon said, as he made his way out of the car.

"Ok hyung".

As we both got out of the car, we saw two figures running. When I looked closely, I was taken aback. It was Minji and that man, whom I saw the other day in the hospital. 

I felt a bit uncomfortable, as I saw them like that, chasing one another. Suddenly, I saw that Minji was running towards me at full speed. I was shocked, I wanted to move but my legs didn't bulge.

BOOM!!!

Minji crushed into me.

"Ouch----", I heard her exclaim.

She bumped right into my injured hand, I was fortunate that I had moved my hand a bit and that she didn't directly crushed into my injured spot. But, it was still painful, cold sweat appeared on my forehead.

"My hand----", I said painfully.

Minji looked up to me, she was shocked to see me.

As, she was about to fall, I caught her by the waist.

We stood there just like that, as snow slowly started to fall and my hand was paining like hell, but I didn't say anything, I just stood there while holding Minji in my arms, letting the first snow of the winter fall on us.
