CHAPTER THREE

Kiara was pacing in front of her father's study room from the past thirty minutes. She made her decision but was unable to gather the courage to speak with her father.

At last, she huddled the courage and knocked on the door upon hearing his father's voice she walked into his study.

“Why are you here?” straightforwardly asked Kevin.

“I want to talk about marriage,” replied Kiara in a low voice.

“What is it?” she heard him.

Upon hearing her, Kevin sided with his work and kept his concentration on Kiara. These made her more nervous.

«Why are you feeling nervous?

It is one and only chance for you»......Kiara heard her inner voice.

“Dad, I will agree to marry according to your wish only if you agree to my one condition” declared Kiara while gazing in all directions except her father's.

“What is it?” asked Kevin with folded hands.

“I want to join a medical university,” replied Kiara.

“Ok, ” she heard his reply.

She looked at him with a shocked expression. She didn't expect this kind of reaction from him.

“The university will be my choice,” Kiara added.

“Ok, ” Kevin simply agreed with her.

Kiara experienced another shock. She was unable to synchronise her thoughts.

She thought convincing her father is going to be a difficult task and thought of numerous ways to approach him and she took some time to gather the courage but here her father agreed without a second question. This amazed her to the core.

“Do you still have anything to ask?” she heard Kevin's voice which caused her to come out of her thinking process.

She nodded negatively and rushed out of his study room.

The moment Kiara walked out of the room Kevin reached out for his mobile and dialled his PA's number.

“Hello sir” He heard his PA's greeting as soon as he answered the call.

“Good job,

Keep tracking Kiara and Aaron” he ordered to his PA.

“Ok, sir” with that Kevin hung up the call and a smirk formed on his face.

He knew beforehand that Kiara was applying for Medical University without his knowledge.

He also knew that Aaron also applied to the same university. He was the one who informed Jacob about his son's secret plan.

«This wedding is going to happen no matter whoever tries to interrupt»..........Thought Kevin.

Kiara walked into her room in a daze. She was still in a dilemma and she was even thinking whether what happened a few minutes back is real or her illusion.

“Sis, Where are you lost?

What happened in the study room?” asked Lisa as she spotted her sister in a daze.

“Lisa, Pinch me” Lisa heard her sister's weird order.

Nevertheless, she followed her sister's order and pinched her hard.

“Ahh, that means it was real” Kiara came to a conclusion.

“What happened to you, sis?

What did dad say about your study?” asked Lisa again.

“He said I can study medicine in any university according to my wish," replied Kiara.

“What!” Lisa was surprised.

Kiara nodded enthusiastically.

“That means I can enrol in MUU,” Kiara shouted, making Lisa surprised.

“Sis, Don't change your behaviour suddenly.

My heart is a little sensitive and it is unable to stand your mood swings” said Lisa.

Kiara patted her shoulder with a smile.

“But, sis don't forget you have to get married” reminded Lisa.

“Yes, I have to get married to study medicine. I don't have any other choice and I don't think this marriage will survive” said Kiara.

“Why do you think like that?” asked Lisa.

“He is a person who doesn't care for others feelings that means he is not a type of person to be bound in one relation” replied Kiara.

“Anyway, I am not going to think about this marriage.

My whole concentration will be on my studies and mainly dad agreed to my wish just because of this marriage that means without marriage I don't have any chance to study medicine” added Kiara.

Lisa nodded as it was right that without this marriage Kevin would have objected to her decision.

The next day was not like a regular day for Kiara and Aaron. It was the day they were going to meet each other although it was not the first time.

Aaron's brain came up with numerous ideas to  have a conversation with Kiara and convince her to reject this marriage.

He even asked Gavin for suggestions and they spent the whole day to come with a strategy.

“This is the only chance you have to stay single. So, try-hard and stay single” Aaron heard Gavin's advice.

Aaron was getting ready to visit Kiara's house along with his father. He got a call from Gavin as he had to give last minute advice to his friend.

“Ok, Sir.

I will try my best” Aaron replied.

A worker came to his room to inform him that Jacob was waiting for him.

“I have to leave.

Bye,” Aaron hung up the call.

He walked to the living room where his father was waiting for him.

“Good boy

You made the right decision” he heard Jacob's voice as soon as he reached him.

He maintained a pocket face and walked past him knowing his son's behaviour Jacob walked along with him.

Aaron and Jacob reached Kiara's house. Kevin greeted them. They got settled in the living room.

Kevin and Jacob sat next to each other and Aaron who was not interested in them sat opposite them.

“He is my son, Aaron Foster” Jacob introduced to Kevin.

Kevin hugged him with a smile.

Whereas Aaron gave a forced smile.

In the meanwhile, Annie, Kiara and Lisa came to the living room.

“She is my daughter, Kiara” Kevin Introduced to Aaron and Jacob.

“She is my wife Annie and my second daughter Lisa” he introduced pointing at them.

After formally greeting them Annie excused herself although with Kiara and Lisa for arranging the dinner.

Kevin and Jacob got busy by discussing businesses related matters leaving Aaron to recollect his prepared dialogue and he was thinking of ways to have a conversation with her.

Meanwhile in the dining room:

Kiara and Lisa were arranging the table.

“Sis, He is more handsome in person than in the picture” commented Lisa with a smile.

“Who?” asked a confused Kiara.

“Obviously the person sitting in our living room” replied Lisa while twisting her lips because of her unresponsive sister.

“I don't know” was Kiara's reply.

“Sis, What do you mean by I don't know?

Do you have any problem with your eyesight?” Lisa asked dramatically while checking her eyes.

“No, I have seen him many times in our school” replied Kiara while removing her hands.

“But, He didn't seem to be surprised by seeing you,” asked Lisa.

“Are you really his classmate?” asked Lisa suspiciously.

“Yes, I said to you, right?

He is not the person he looks from outside.

I had a wrong opinion about him till the end of our school but on the last day I came to know him well” replied Kiara.

Their conversation got interrupted by Annie.

“What are you girls discussing?” asked Annie walking towards them.

“Nothing mom,” they both said at the same time.

Annie called them for dinner. They had their dinner in silence. Kiara was quietly observing Aaron wondering whether he recognised her or not.

Aaron was trying to find an opportunity to have a conversation with Kiara.

After dinner, they sat in the living room and Aaron felt it was the perfect time to imply his plans.

“Uncle, I want to talk with Kiara,” asked Aaron.

“Sure Aaron.

You guys can talk with each other in the garden” replied Kevin.

“Kiara led him to the garden,” added Kevin.

Kiara nodded and walked on the way to the garden followed by Aaron.

As they came to the garden they stood facing each other while looking in all directions except the opposite person.

Kiara was wondering what he walked to talk.

«What did he want to talk with me?

Did he really doesn't know that I am his classmate or he is acting like he didn't know but by considering the fact that he rarely gives his attention to other students in the class he might not know that I am his classmate?

But, after hearing his behaviour with Ella from her, I don't think he doesn't know me?».............. Kiara was busy in conversation with herself with her one hand on her chin.

“Excuse me” Aaron called in an attempt to gain her attention as she was busy with herself from the last five minutes.

“Yes, ” Kiara snapped out her own world and concentrated on him.

“My name is Aaron Foster” Aaron introduced himself as it was his first step in his strategy.

“I know,” Kiara replied.

“How?” asked a confused Aaron.

“Obviously I heard from my father,” Kiara replied with a pocket face.

Aaron found her behaviour quite annoying but nevertheless, he decided to continue his plan.

“I don't think we should get married,” said Aaron.
