CHAPTER 11

EVE'S POV:-

I opened my eyes and found Master Adrian lying beside me. He was thinking about something that he did not notice that I was awake. I could not stop myself from touching his sharp jawline. As my fingers touched his jawline, he looked at me and gave me his wide smile. He then leaned in and pecked my forehead. I whimpered as his lips touched my skin.

He smirked as he heard my whimper. He hovered over me and I shivered as I saw his red eyes. But it was not fear that I felt. It was something very delicious. I felt something ticking the insides of my stomach. He leaned towards my neck and inhaled deeply. I was breathing heavily. His tongue touched the skin of my neck and I shivered again. 

He started laughing loudly and laid back down on the bed. I looked at him in confusion and found him shaking his head. If my leg would be fully healed by then or It would not have broken at all, I would have sat on top of him and would have pecked his lips. I just lost myself in his smile again. He cupped my neck with one of his hands and rubbed the pad of his thumb lightly on my cheek. That was when I came back to reality again.

I looked into his eyes and gave him my cheeky smile. "I have some things to take care of. I will not be here with you. But I will try to be back as soon as possible. And your room is ready. When I will come back, I will take you to your room." He said and my smile faded away. I forced a small smile on my face after a few seconds and slowly nodded my head.

He did not say anything. He hopped off of the bed and went to the bathroom. I knew he could not babysit me all the time. He had a territory to run. But I just could not help it. I wanted him around. It was the first time anyone had ever shown any kind of affection to me. And I just did not want to lose it. He cleaned his throat and I looked up at him.

He was fully showered and ready to go. He came to the bed and sat beside me. "You don't want me to go, do you?" He asked me and I slowly nodded my head.

"Look at me, Eve." He ordered me and I looked up at his face. "After my work is done, I will come back. Plus, I promised to take you out tonight. You know I keep my promises." He asked me and I nodded my head.

"Don't worry. Doctor Denis will be here to help you and the others will take care of you as well. Also, I will not be gone for long, it will take an hour or so, then I will be with you. And I will leave Ryan to keep you safe." He added and I nodded again.

"I will be fine. Don't worry about me, Master." I replied and he smiled again. He pecked my forehead then pulled me up into his arms. He carried me to the bathroom and made me sit into the bathtub. He then wrapped my plastered leg with a plastic bag then he left me. 

I was about to start stripping my clothes off when a nurse entered the bathroom with a smile on her face. She came to me and helped me bathe. After a warm bath, she brought me back into the room. She carried me easily like I was nothing but a chicken. She sat me down on the bed and helped me with my clothes. Once done, she went to the door and looked around. She then closed the door and came back into the room.

A few minutes passed and we both heard a loud knock on the bedroom door. She stood up and opened the door. Bowing her head in respect, she held the door open. I smiled widely as I thought Master Adrian came back. But it was not Master Adrian, it was Master Hayden. My smile died as I saw his face again. Everything he did to me that day, came rushing into my mind. 

Even though my leg was still hurting, I sat up on the bed. He signalled the nurse to leave the room and she looked at me. With teary eyes I shook my head. "Master Adrian strictly ordered me not to leave her alone. Master, Hayden, I can not…" she tried to reason him but with a firm stare, he made her bite her tongue. She mouthed "Sorry" and stepped out of the room.

I gulped hard in fear as he locked the room. He came to the bed and I started shivering with fear. "Because of a slut, I had faced so much humiliation. Because of you, my own brother humiliated me in front of the whole palace." He roared at me and grabbed my hair. He pulled my hair aggressively and felt a sharp pain in my neck. 

He grabbed my neck and started choking me again. As if it comforted his ego every time he choked me. Suddenly, somebody started banging the door. I was gasping as my lungs burned for the oxygen. I heard the door being broken and someone stepped into the room. "Hayden, what on earth are you doing?" With blurry vision, I looked at the person who came to save me. Master Hayden let go of my neck and stepped back. I gasped loudly as I fell on the bed. I was coughing hard and was trying to fill my lungs more than I could at that moment.

He came to me and helped me sit up on the bed. He quickly filled a glass with water and helped me drink it. As I was drinking the water, he turned towards Master Hayden and glared at him as if he would kill Master Hayden with his firm stare. Once I downed the cold water, he set the glass on the bedside table and rubbed my back lightly.

"Are you okay, my mistress Eve? Talk to me." He asked me in a worried tone. I tried to answer him but nothing came out. Due to the fear and all choking, my words and my tongue were dead. And my voice came out as nothing but a low whisper. He stood up and grabbed Master Hayden's coller. 

"You bloody brainless man, were you deff when My lord Adrian strictly ordered you not to even think of showing your face to our mistress. How dare you hurt her and disrespect her like this?" He roared at him angrily and his eyes glowed red, hinting his anger towards Master Hayden. Master Hayden narrowed his eyes in fear. That made me think if he was more powerful than Master Hayden.
