CHAPTER 13

EVE'S POV:-

"Look, I ask them to get your room ready. Tell me, do you like it, Eve?" Master whispered into my ear and pecked my forehead again. I looked up at him then looked around. The whole room was decorated with pink and purple colors. The curtains, the walls, even the furniture was of my favorite colors.

"I love it, Master. But…" I replied but stopped in the middle of the sentence. He pinched my chin again and guided my gaze towards his. He looked into my eyes as if he was searching for answers. But he got nothing.

"But what, Eve? Is there anything you do not like? Just tell me what it is, I will ask them to change it with the things you like." He asked me in a worried tone and I shook my head.

"I love everything here. But you don't like these colors. I know, you don't like these colors. You will not come into my room." I replied in a sad tone and earned another chuckle from him. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed the top of my head.

"I like the way your cheeks change its colors whenever I am around you. So I will come here to see those blushing cheeks." He replied in a seductive tone and pinched my cheek lightly. I looked up at him. He had a wide smirk on his face that awakened the same funny feeling inside my stomach every time I saw his beautiful smile.

After an hour when I was better, as promised, Master Adrian took me out of the room. The whole time he was carrying me. As if I weigh nothing for him. I tried to get down but he did not let me. He took me towards the riverside. I gasped as I saw that he had planned a picnic for me. I squealed in happiness and pecked his cheek in excitement. He chuckled and took me to the spot.

He gently put me down on the ground and then he also sat beside me. I was watching him with my mouth agape. As far as I knew him, he hated sitting on the ground. But for me, he was sitting on the ground. Never in my life I had thought that the cold hearted master, whom I had feared, who was the living nightmare for me. He could be this much caring and loving for his mate. To make me feel better, he was doing everything.

I was so drowned into my thoughts and his beauty that I did not hear his calls. He snapped his fingers in front of my eyes and I came back to my senses. I blinked my eyes a few times in confusion and he chuckled softly. "You know, you are the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life. So tell me, what kept you occupied this time, Eve? What were you thinking about?" He asked me with a raised brow and I giggled shyly. 

"I was thinking about you. How caring and loving you are towards me. I was praying to die the day I was sold to you. I was so afraid of you that I prayed to never cross paths with you." I honestly replied. For a moment I saw anger on his face. Then it was exchanged with a small smile. That moment I thought I should not have told him everything. But the cat was already out of the bag.

"And what does Eve think now about her Master Adrian? Does he still scare her or she is no longer afraid of him?" He cupped my face and asked me in a loving tone. He started rubbing the pad of his thumb with my cheek. I felt the same spark I had felt earlier. I grabbed his hand and gathered enough courage. I lightly pecked his palm and earned another melodious chuckle.

"Now, I am not afraid of you. I don't want to die. I want to see what the future holds for me. I know I have not felt anything like you do, Master. But I don't care. You are the only one who cares about me. And I want to be with you." I replied and he wrapped his arms around me. He kissed the top of my head and I shut my eyes. I was getting habitual of his cuddles and his hugs.

TWO MONTHS LATER:-

Two months passed like two days. Time I had spent with Master Adrian always flew faster than usual. Or maybe I started to like every single moment I had spent with him. "And done. You are perfectly fine, our Luna. You are fully healed. You can now play around and do whatever you want. But try not to jump a lot now. Your leg just healed up. We don't want you to feel pain. Now stand up and show our Master that you are healed and healthy." The doctor said as he checked me up thoroughly. 

Master Adrian came to me and offered me his hand. I took his hand and he slowly made me stand up. He grabbed my waist if I would feel any pain. But to my surprise, I did not feel any kind of pain. Master Adrian nodded his head to the doctor and signalled him to leave us alone. My cheeks burned as doctor Denis cleared his throat. He bowed his head with respect and left.

Master helped me, taking a few steps and I successfully walked for a few minutes. Then, Master Adrian took me back to the bed and he sat on the edge of the bed. He made me sit onto his lap. It was something usual for me. Sitting onto his lap, I was habitual of that by then. 

Everyone was instructed to stay away from me. Master Hayden was given a few tasks so he would not trouble me again. Master Ryan was instructed to stay around me. Especially when Master Adrian would not be around. Rest of the time, Master Adrian would not leave me alone for a single moment. He took care of me. He even took me on many picnics. He just learned that I wanted to enjoy a picnic since my childhood. After that, he planned almost two picnics a week.

"Now you are alright. First thing I am going to do is to get Ryan to teach you self-defense. Then I will teach you some techniques that I have never taught anyone in my life. That will protect you from me as well." He said and I gave him a confused look. I did not know why I needed myself to be protected from Master Adrian. He was the only one I trusted with my life.

Yes, trusted with my life. I had trusted him more than I had ever trusted myself or my angles. "I don't need to be protected from you. You will never hurt me. I know that. I trust you." I replied with a smile and he chuckled. He pulled me in a bone crushing hug but it did not hurt me. Instead, It always made me feel safe. His arms were the safest place for me in the whole universe. Safer than the belly of my mother, safer than heaven.
