Chapter 10 - TWENTY ONE QUESTIONS

Dee and I fell sleep while watching a movie on Netflix. After all of that crying I was very sleepy. I woke up first and I looked at my phone to see if Sean tried to reach out but to my dismay he didn't. Like Dee suggested I needed to give him some time so I didn't blow up his phone with text messages or call too many times and leave a bunch of voicemail. I was about to put my phone down when Dee woke up and asked if Sean contacted me yet. I told her that he didn't yet. Dee looked at me with her puppy dog eyes and she said don't worry baby girl he will eventually. Suddenly the doorbell rang. Dee and I looked at each other with our eyes wide open and we rang downstairs to see who it was. As I opened the door two delivery guys were standing at the door. They both said "are you Jamie Scott?" I was so confused because I didn't order anything. Both delivery guys gave me the items in their hands and walked away. Dee asked "what is that Jamie?" I said "I don't know I didn't order anything but the delivery guys said that they were for Jamie Scott. I put the bags on the counter and I opened one of them. The bag I opened up had seafood boil in it with crab legs and shrimp mixed with my favorite buttery and flax flavor sauce with a side dish of mashed potatoes. Seafood boil was one of my favorite dishes especially from this specific restaurant downtown. It's hard to get reservations there you would have to book atleast a week in advance. As a matter of fact they don't even do delivery. Why was I receiving food from my favorite restaurant when they don't even do deliveries? I then took the other bag and I opened it up, this bag had my favorite Red Velvet Cake from my favorite bakery also from downtown and they also do not deliver. What was going on? Who sent these? I heard my phone beeping upstairs do I went upstairs to get it. When I picked up my phone it was a text from Celine. Dinner is on me, I hope that you enjoy. I was shocked by the message from Celine. How did she know what my favorite food was and my favorite cake? I smiled as I texted Celine telling her thank you so much for dinner with a cute smiley face emoji and a heart. I went back downstairs and I see Dee already eating my crab legs. I said "wow what if it was poisoned or something?" She says "then girl u would be dead with a full belly. Perfect way to go out if you ask me" Dee was hilarious she loved to eat and didn't play when it came to her crab legs. I grabbed a plate and started eating as well. I then said " by the way this is from Celine she sent me dinner and my favorite dessert from my favorite bakery. I don't know how she did it but these places do not deliver. I then said I never told her what my favorite foods were, after all we barely did any talking at all I said with a smile on my face. Dee then says "oh lastnight when I took her home she asked what was the best places to take you for dinner if she were to take you and then she asked what do you have a sweet tooth for and I told her. I had no clue she would have done this. She is so romantic, girl if you don't want her then I'll take her". I hit Dee playfully with a kitchen towel. Celine was indeed a sweet heart. Even when my mind is far away from her for a bit she knows how to make me think of her all day. She is really something, I'm excited to see where this is going to go. We finally finished eating. There was stil some food left over so I put it in the fridge. I then took a bit of the cake and I was in heaven. Dee then took a bite and she said "OH MY GOD!! This is so good" I smiled as I put the rest away in the fridge. We ate so much ice cream earlier I didn't want too much cake right now.

Dee and I were sitting in the kitchen talking when I received a text from Sean. My heart dropped. The text said "come outside". I said to Dee "Sean is here and he wants me to come outside to talk I'll be right back." I started heading outside and I opened the door to his car. I got inside and I said "hey where have you been?" Sean didn't answer my question instead he says "who is she?" My heart skipped a beat. Did Sean know too? Did he know before I even knew for sure? As the thought was rolling around in my head i said "who is who?" Sean then turns to look at me and says "I'm not stupid, I've had my suspicions for a while now but I told myself it was all in my head. I knew that if you ever decided to leave me you would leave me because of another woman. I refused to believe it but now I think that time has come. I see you staring at women all the time. I noticed sex isn't pleasing for you as it is for me. I feel like I'm doing all the wrong things during sex. I love you so much with all of my heart and i know you love me too but not with your whole heart. That's why I was left the way I did today because I needed time to think this true. I want you to be happy whether it's with me or someone else but i need to know what this means for us. Who is it? How long has this been going on. I just need these answers to have closure. Everything was fine as of yesterday, atleast I think it was and then all of a sudden today we're breaking up. What happened between yesterday  and today?" I choked back the tears as Sean was speaking at this time. I then said " yesterday there was a new girl in my dance class, just like every other time that you have witnessed me looking at women and checking them out that's what I did. I never expected it to go anywhere, just like always. Before yesterday all it was, was just an attraction and nothing else. I have never followed through with my feelings I just always knew that you and I were together and that we make sense. As usual I ignored my feelings and I tried to run from it. I don't know what is so different about this one but she made me feel different. I tried to go to the bathroom to escape my feelings for her but she followed me to the bathroom and she told me that she saw me checking her out and before I knew it she was kissing me and I was kissing her back. It's like I had no control over my body. Then I got scared and I needed to leave so I left dance class early. I decided to go out lastnight with Dee to escape my thoughts and I dint know that Dee invited her to Brads party so there she was again and we kissed again. I tried to leave again but Dee was her rude home. I tried to take an UBER to avoid her but Dee thought it was dumb for me to leave alone when we came together. So she drops me home and on my way home she apologized for everything and then she came over lastnight to talk but I don't know what she did to me but we ended up having sex together. Then my dad sees her leave this morning and he tells me that him and mom knew that I was into women since I was about 6 years old. And now I'm all confused and I didn't think it was fair to have these feeling for her and still be with you. And then to top it off I clearly cheated on you and you don't deserve that. You deserve way better, you're such a good guy and I was messing everything up. I'm so sorry Sean. I'm really, really sorry." 

After I was finished talking Sean stayed quiet for a while before he said "who is she?" I told him that her name is Celine. He then said "I would like for us to sit and have a talk. Can you do that?" I wasn't too sure what to say at this point, the thought of my boyfriend and my crush/ lover were going to be in the same room was a bit too weird. I thought about it for a minute then I said ok. I told Sean that I would ask Celine if she wouldn't mind all of us sitting to have a talk. Sean then exhaled like he was holding his breath for a while and he said "I'm glad we had this talk. I'm going to go home and you let me know what she says" I said ok. I was about to leave but Sean pulls me back and kisses me on my lips. I felt so much better when Sean kissed me. I turned to get out of the car. I got inside the house and I heard Sean drive away. 

Dee was sitting in the couch with her eyes wide open waiting for me to tell her what happened. I explained to her that I told him everything and he said that he wants all three of us to talk. Dee was confused she said me you and him? Why?" I laughed and I said no me him and Celine. Dee had the look of horror on her face. It was pretty much how I was feeling on the inside. I then received a text from Celine, she wanted to know what I decided about tonight. I told her that I'm free and that she could come over. I told dee that Celine was coming over and she got excited. I told her it was ok for her to stay over to help me prevent anything from happening tonight. Celine then texted saying she would be over around 9pm. 

At this time my dad walks thought the door and he looks exhausted, he hugs both me and Dee and he says " hello ladies I hope you guys had a good day. I wish I could talk for a bit but I'm so tired I just want to shower and sleep. Are you ladies going to be ok?" We both said yes and he smiled and went right to bed. My mom wasn't home yet so I sent her a text asking her if she was coming home soon. She texted back right away saying that she's spending the night at my aunt Jills house. It was 8:30pm right now and Celine was coming over in half an hour. Dee then goes upstairs to talk to her Starbucks guy and I sat downstairs playing soolitair in my phone waiting for Celine to come over. At 8:50 Celine texted me saying that she was outside. She was early and I was excited because I got to se her sooner. I opened the door and she walks in and sits on the couch. I sat next to her and she leaned in to give me a kiss. Her lips were so soft it always sent chills down my spine right away. We parted lips and she asked how my day was. I didnt want to talk about it right now. So instead I said " Celine let's talk about you, you seem to know so much about me and I feel like I know nothing about you. What's your full name where are you from? How old are you?" Celine smiles and she said "ok, how about this? Let's play 21 questions, I ask you a question and then you ask me a question". I agreed and Celine started off. My full name is Celine leeAnn Rivera- Townsend, Rivera is my mother and Townsend is my father. Now you, what is your full name?" I said mine is "Jamie Michelle Scott. How old are you and when is your birthday?" Celine then said that she is 19 and her birthday is December 1st. It was my turn to answer the question and I said I'm 19 and my birthday is October 1st.. we did this for a while just asking each other questions back and forth until we got to question 21. Celine then asked, if you could go one place in the world where would you go?  I said "if I were to go one place in the world I would go to Paris. I've already been fascinated by Paris. The same question was for Celine and she said she would go to Australia. We then started giggle with each other as we were finally finished asking the 21 questions.

i finally felt like I knew Celine a little better. Before I was clueless about the woman I was falling head over heels for but now I felt closer to her. I then moved closer to Celine and I Put my head on her shoulder and held her arm. She then leaned her head into mine and we sat there for a while just holding each other. I the  remembered what Sean had said to me and I said "Celine, I don't know how you are going to feel about this but I have to ask. So, I spoke to Sean today about us and he seemed to listen to me about everything but in the end he had one request. That request was for the three of us to sit and have a conversation. Do you think you would be up to it?" Celine made a face at first but then she said " A conversation? about what?" I didn't know what Sean wanted to tak about but it obviously had something to do with this whole situation:  so I said to Celine, I don't know but what ever it is he just needs this to have a bit of closure so that we can figure out what happens next. Celine then  holds me closer and says "ok that's fine. I would love to talk to him about this situation. Celine then says with a smile on her face, hey, we're downstairs today, is this you keeping your distance from me?. I smiled and I said no and yes. My friend Dee is here in my room on the phone with her guy friend so it was best for us to talk here. She looks at me with her beautiful eyes and she bites her lower lips and leans in to kiss me. We started kissing each other very slowly and gentle until the kisses started to get deeper. I climbed on top of Celine and we were just kissing passionately when Dee comes downstairs and sees us. She says "OH MY GOD I'm sorry and she turns to go back upstairs. Celine and I started laughing and I said no Dee it's ok you can come back. Celine then says "I think I should probably head home I have homework to do. I'm happy I got to see you tonight. I said me too and I thanked her so much for the flowers and for the food and the dessert. It was all so very thoughtful of her. I felt very special being treated this way. I hugged Celine and walked her to the door she turns around and gives me a kiss before she says goodbye and then tells Dee goodbye.

After Celine leaves Dee and I were staring at each other then Dee finally says "WOW! I have seen you kiss Sean before but NEVER like that. I was in so much shock you really like her and I could tell. It's like you're this completely different person when you're with her. I am so happy for you, I'm happy that you found someone who makes you happy. You deserve it, it just sucks how it all has to happen. But I like her for you. It know we're just judging her after only knowing her for like one day but she has highly impressed us both so far. I'm excited to see where all of this will go. I then turned to Celine and I couldn't stop smiling. My face was so red and my cheeks felt so hot. I never got this way with Sean it any other guy for that matter. Yes Sean and I have been together for a while but he never pulled out all of the stops for me. It was weird our relationship only just made sense because of how much we just worked together very well as a couple. No fights no arguments no nothing it was just different. We never did things like play 21 questions we just kind of figured out everything on our own, it was so weird. At this time I wanted to go lay down in bed and just watch a movie with my best friend until we both fell asleep.
