Chapter 3:- It's Him Again

2020-11-06 13:17:24"Phew!! I made it in time", I sighed to myself as I parked my car.
I made my way towards the hospital, Asan Medical Hospital, it's among one of the best hospitals in Seoul. I was lucky enough to get a job here.
I entered and saw Mr. Lee at the door.
"Good Morning Mr. Lee", I said with a big smile.
Mr. Lee was a security guard in our hospital. He was a man in his fifties, he was always smiling brightly whenever I see him. He was a nice man and was respected by all the staffs in the hospital.
"Good morning Chief Kim", he said with a bright smile on his face.
He always calls me 'Chief Kim', as I'm the Chief of the orthopaedic department. Well, it was not easy to become a Chief though and I admit that I had worked hard for it.
"Mr. Lee, why do you always call me 'Chief Kim' it's kind of embarassing, you know".
"I've also told you to call me Uncle Lee ".
"Then if I call you that, then will you stop calling me Chief??".
"Maybe", Mr. Lee replied.
"Arghhh....you won't change. Hmph!!", I said angrily.
"Now, now don't be angry or else you'll be late".
"See you later then", I waved goodbye to Mr. Lee and headed towards the elevator.
As I was about to go inside the elevator, I heard someone shout out my name.
"Hey Min-ssi!!! Wait for me-----".
It was Minho, he was the Chief of the Cardiological Department in our hospital and was also my best friend here.
"Shh...Minho!! It's a hospital", I scolded him softly.
"Oops sorry", he stuck out his tongue playfully.
"So, you too are also late", he said with a smirk.
"What do you think!?".
"What happened today?? It's not your style to be late".
I sighed and told him everything about happened on my way to the hospital. He gasped and looked at me with his eyes wide open.
"Are you nuts or something", he almost yelled.
"Shh.... why-----what happened??".
"Which madman jumps in front of a car to save a puppy!? You would have died for God's sake", he roared angrily at me.
"You know nah how much emotional I'm towards animals especially towards dogs", I blinked my eyes innocently at him, feeling guilty in my heart, as I knew Minho cared about me a lot.
In return, he glared at me, like he was gonna beat me up anytime now.
"Ok ok, I'm sorry to make you worry, I won't do it again, I swear", I said at last.
"Really??", he looked at me with disbelief.
"Yeah, I swear", I replied with confidence.
"You swear on Jungkook??".
"Geez man!!! You know, I don't like to swear on him", now I was mad, he knows how to tease me all the time.
He gave a small laugh and we both went inside the elevator. Our departments where on the same floor, so when we got out we saw Junsoo, my friend and also a wonderful doctor from Minho department.
Junsoo and Minho were the only two close friends I had here. Junsoo was a nice and sweet girl and on the other hand Minho who was always in a playful mood and liked to joke around, other time he was just like a small kid, but when it comes to save lives, he was most amazing cardiologist I've known till now.
"Min Min why are you so late today??", Junsoo asked with a worried look.
"Oh! She was playing the role of superwoman on road", Minho replied casually like I do this all the time.
I shot him a glare and looked at Junsoo who was totally confused.
I let out a sigh.
"It's nothing Jun, I'll tell you later on".
"Oh okay", Junsoo looked a bit disappointed though.
"Let's head back to our work, shall we", Minho said at last.
"Yes", me and Junsoo replied in unison.
I went inside my room and saw Yeona arranging few files I gave her. Yeona is a intern under me, she's a nice girl, always do the things I tell her to do and she's always serious about her work. I'm personally very touched to see how hard she works.
"Good morning Yeona", I greeted her as I made my way towards my table.
"Morning Doc", she replied with a smile.
"Yeona I'm a bit late today, so please can you let me know what is my schedule for today".
"Yes Doc".
She didn't waste any time and started reading my schedule.
"Today you don't have much appointments with patients, only 5-6 patients at most to see today. Then, before lunch you have to make ward rounds and lastly you have a department meeting about a case and that's all".
"Thank you Yeona!! You can go now and study the cases I've kept on the table and let me know if you've any problem".
"Okay Doc", she replied and left to do her work.

It's was already 10:30am by the time I saw my last patient for today. Just as I was about to go for the ward rounds, Yeona came.
"Doc, there's a man who have dislocated his elbow pretty badly, can you see him??".
I looked at my watch and saw that I still have some time.
"Ok! Send him in".
After few moments, the man came inside, as I looked up, I was taken aback.
It was him!!!

"Hyung you stay, I can manage myself from here".
"Are you sure??", Namjoon asked, sounding a bit concerned.
"Yeah! If you come, it may somehow attract much more attention and it would be troublesome later", Jungkook said at last.
"Ok fine, you go alone but take care, I would wait for you here only".
"Yeah hyung".
Jungkook made his way towards the hospital, he still had his hat and mask on him and he was also covered with thick clothing from head to toe, so no one really found out anything.
He passed by Mr. Lee, who looked at him with curiosity, Mr. Lee felt strange to see the man who was covered fully from head to toe.
Jungkook made his way towards the reception.
"Hello! I want to see a doctor, my elbow have dislocated very badly".
"Ok, so do you have an appointment??", the receptionist asked.
"No actually. I had, had an accident few moments ago and didn't had time to ask for an appointment, but please can you help me".
"Ok wait, give me a moment".
Jungkook saw the receptionist talking to someone over the phone, after that she hang up the phone, she told Jungkook to go to the 5th floor, the doctor will see him there.
"Ok, thank you", Jungkook replied.
He went inside the elevator and went to the 5th floor.
When he came out, he saw a girl standing just outside the elevator and as soon as she saw him, she came forward.
"Excuse me, you're the man with dislocated elbow right??", she asked.
"Yes", Jungkook replied softly.
"Ok, Doctor Minji will see you now".
He went with the girl.
Upon entering the room, he was surprised to see, it's was her, the same woman who jumped in front of his car.
The woman also looked surprised to see him too.

It was already 7pm, when I took out the cake from inside the oven, Minho left the kitchen a long time ago and went to the living room.I placed the cake on the kitchen table and started to decorate it. It took a long time for me to do that.
