Chapter 5:- Melancholic Minds

It's has been three days since that accident happened. My life was going on as usual like it always have been. Today, it's was raining quiet heavily since the early morning. The weather have became much more cooler. Today it was Sunday, so I didn't have any work.

I sat by my window side with a coffee mug in my hand, as I watched the rain pour heavily. 

I don't know, why I feel so melancholic whenever it rains, the rain makes me miss Jungkook more, it makes me remember of him more and more, but I don't know why-----

I sipped on my coffee, it felt bitter inside my mouth, it's warmness also couldn't subside the coldness and loneliness in my heart.

I looked around inside my room, it was quiet, one can only hear the sound of rain pouring heavily. My room had everything it should have, but it still seemed like I was missing something or I guess, I was missing someone.

I was feeling suffocating in the room, so I decided to head outside. It was already 11am and soon it's gonna be lunch time, so I decided to grab some food in a nice restaurant and go for a walk in the rain later. I liked to take a walk when it rains.

I got ready, grabbed my coat and my umbrella, locked the door and went off. I didn't take my car because it was troublesome to drive in the rain.

I decided to head to a nearby restaurant to have lunch. I went inside the restaurant. Today I decided to have stir fried noodles with pork strips, it's one of my favourite dishes here in Korea.

I didn't have any hurry, so I took my time and enjoyed the dishes. After paying the bill, I went to take a walk.

I opened my umbrella and set off. I saw women buying groceries, children wearing raincoats getting off the school bus, couples having coffee in cafe and happily talking to each other.

I walked and walked, the rain was now pouring lightly. As I kept on walking, I came across a flower shop. There were bright white lilies outside the flower shop, I smiled as I looked at them. Lilies are my favourite, especially white lilies. 

"Dear, do you like them??", an old lady in the flower shop asked while pointing at the white lilies.

"Yes, I like them very much", I replied with a smile.

"Should I pack few of them for you??", the lady asked.

"Yes please", I replied. I don't always come across such bright white lilies, so when I saw them, I decided to buy them.

The lady quickly packed the flowers, I paid the money. But as soon as I turned to go, I saw a familiar figure standing in front of the flower shop and at the same time he was looking at me.

Ho-Jun!!!

The rain stopped and the bright sun came out from behind the clouds and showered us with its warm rays, but we didn't noticed anything, as we kept on staring at each other, getting lost in each other's eyes.

It was the fifth time, I looked at my phone which was kept on the table. Still trying to decide whether I should call or not.

I took a deep breath and summoned up my courage. I went to the table, took my phone and dialled the hospital's number, after two rings the call was picked up.

"Hello! It's Asan Medical Hospital. What can I do for you??", the person from the other side of the phone said.

"Umm....well, can I get Dr. Minji on phone??", I said quickly, feeling a bit shy.

"Sorry, but today Dr. Minji have not came".

"Huh!? But why??".

"Because it's Sunday and Dr. Minji doesn't have duties on Sundays".

"Oh I see. Thank you". With that I hung up the call.

I looked outside the window and it was still raining, I don't know why but today as I was seeing the rain pour heavily, Minji's face came to my mind and I wanted to talk to her. I let out a sigh and kept staring outside.

"Jungkook, why are you so sad today??", Taehyung said as he came and sat beside me.

"Oh! Do I look sad??", I said while still looking out of the window.

"I guess, you should go out for a bit. You've not gone out of the house since the last three days".

"Go out and that's too in the rain", I looked at Taehyung as I said that.

"Yes!! You're going crazy staying in the house, just looking at the walls and the street from the window all day long".

"I guess you're right, but I've a plaster on my left hand if you remember correctly, hyung".

"It's no big deal. I'll also go out with you, so you don't have to worry. Now, get ready and let's go out for a walk", Taehyung said excitedly.

I got ready and we both went out.

We had covered quiet a distance, when I heard Taehyung shout.

"Shit!! I forgot my phone in the apartment and Jin hyung said that he would call me. If I don't answer the phone, I'll get a half an hour lecture from him. What should I do??", he asked while looking at me.

"Just go and grab your phone and come back, I'll wait for you here only", I said calmly.

"Are you sure??".

"Yes hyung, I'm not a child who may get lost. Now, go!".

With that Taehyung went off. After he left, I looked around and saw someone whom I wanted to see since this morning.

Minji was buying some flowers. I went to her, I stood before the flower shop while looking at her, but she didn't noticed me until she turned around.

When she saw me, she was shocked. I was still wearing my black hat and mask and held on an umbrella, so she possibly couldn't see my actual face.

We looked at each other, getting lost in each other's eyes. I don't know but she have something in her eyes which makes me kept staring at them continuously.

We didn't even realised when the rain stopped and a bright sun came out from behind the clouds. 

I don't know why but when I looked into her eyes, it seemed like the clouds which covered my heart suddenly got cleared up and a bright sun started to shine, making me feel warm and fill me up with happiness from inside.
