CHAPTER ONE

“Kiara you are getting married next week” announced Kevin, Kiara's father, just like he was announcing a vacation trip.

Kiara, who was busy watching her favourite show with her sister, got an unexpected blow. Her mother and sister were also shocked by hearing her father's sudden announcement.

It took a few minutes for Kiara to process her father's announcement and just a few moments to stood up from her place and  question him

“What are you saying, dad? How can I get married at eighteen?” asked Kiara in a low voice but inside she felt the build-up of anger.

“Is there a problem for you to get married at eighteen?” questioned Kevin in a low yet scary tone.

“But, Dad, I want to go to university,” answered Kiara.

“You can continue your study after marriage.

We can enroll your name in the business school” declared Kevin making Kiara helpless.

“Why do you want to get her married suddenly?” asked Annie, Kiara's mother.

“It is not sudden. I was thinking about it from last month and today I made the decision and next week you will get married” replied Kevin simply as it is a small decision.

There was silence in the room. They were facing difficulty in processing Kevin's words.

In all these Kiara was the one who was more shocked. Her father announced her marriage without her consent and not even caring to ask her opinion to take her life's biggest decision.

Kiara Smith, An eighteen years old girl with a bubbly nature. She cares for the people around her and always tries to make them happy in her presence. Her only dream is to be a Doctor.

Kevin Smith, Father of Kiara is a Businessman. The only thing he cares more about is his Business and his life decisions are made based on profits and losses for his Business.

Kiara and Her sister Lisa never shared a close relationship with their father as he was always out of town on business trips and always tried to impose his decisions on them.

They were intimidated by his strong cold Aura. He has his ways to make things profitable to him and he always expects them to follow his words.

Kiara and Lisa went to the school of his wish and everything about their life was decided by him and he never allows them to study out of their city.

But, Kiara for the first wants to go against her father and Join Medical University to live her dream.

She gathered courage and applied for the Top Medical University which is very far from their city without her father knowing.

She decided to inform her father and fight with him if he opposes her decision and joins the University.

But, She never expected her father would come up with her marriage. She didn't expect in her dreams that she would be ordered to get married.

Kiara felt that her dream was falling apart. She doesn't want to let go of her dream.

She gathered courage and walked towards her father to say her opinion loudly but a single cold glance of her father made her stammer.

“Dad, I don't want to get married.

I want to study medicine” These were the words she wanted to say but she said them in a low voice which failed to enter her father's ears.

“What do you want to say?” asked Kevin.

Before she gathers some courage to talk.

He started talking without giving her a chance.

“Don't think about rejecting this marriage.

It is not just a wedding. It is a major deal for the company” said Kevin in a warning tone.

It was the moment Kiara knew that her father would do anything to get her married.

“I signed a major deal with one of the top companies and we decided to get our children married to establish a strong relationship both personally and professionally,” said Kevin.

“This is the boy's picture,

See and get ready for the wedding” said  Kevin placing the envelope on the table and walked away without listening to them.

Kiara was angry at herself for not able to fight for her dream.

She glanced at her mother with hope but the moment her eyes met her mothers she knew her mother was also helpless. She ran to her room helplessly.

“Mom, can't we try to make dad understand that sis wants to study medicine at Moral Medical University?” asked Lisa.

She wants to try her best to help her elder sister to live her dream. Although she is two years younger she tries her best to support her sister.

“I don't think we can change your father's decision if it involves business” replied Annie helplessly.

Lisa glanced at the envelope which contains her soon to be brother in law's picture. She picked that envelope and walked towards her sister's room.

Entering into Kiara's room she finds her sitting at the corner of her bed with a face hug low.

She felt sad for her sister. Walking towards her she placed her hand on her shoulder.

“Sis, Don't worry we will find a way to solve this problem,” said Lisa.

“I got selected for Moral Medical University (MMU)” Kiara murmured loudly.

“Congrats, sis you can pursue your dream,” said Lisa to lift the mood.

“I don't think dad will cancel the wedding because I don't want to get married and also If he cancels the wedding. I don't think he will allow me to study at MMU” said Kiara in a low voice.

By hearing Kiara's words an idea popped in Lisa's mind.

“Sis, I have a solution for your problem” announced Lisa with a bright smile.

Kiara was surprised by hearing her and also amazed by the speed of her sister's brain.

“What is your solution?” asked Kiara hoping that her idea will solve her problem.

“Do you want to study medicine or Don't want to get married?” asked Lisa.

“I don't want to get married and study medicine,” replied Kiara.

Lisa slapped her forehead after hearing her sister's answer.

“Sis, You are impossible.

I asked to choose one, not two” said Lisa.

“Ok, I want to study medicine” Kiara declared her choice.

“Then get married,” announced Lisa.

Kiara gave her an angry glare.

“Don't be angry sis. I have an idea.

Dad will never allow you to study medicine at Moral Medical University which is at ****** because it is far from our city, right?” asked Lisa.

Kiara nodded as it was true.

“But, If you get married then you don't have to listen to dad.

You just have to find a way to convince your husband to get into college.

Also, you can ask dad if he allows you to get into the university you will agree to get married” said Lisa with a smile.

Kiara thought for a moment she felt her idea was not bad and it may also work.

“Not a bad idea” murmured Kiara.

“I know because it is my idea,” said Lisa proudly while lifting her imaginary collar.

“Now, Let's take a look at the picture,” said Lisa while pulling out the picture from an envelope.

“Sis, This guy is very handsome” commented Lisa while examining the picture.

She passed the picture to Kiara.

“What the!

How did dad know him?” murmured a shocked Kiara.

“Sis, Do you know him?” asked a confused Lisa.

Kiara nodded, still not able to process the newly found information.

“What wrong did I do to be punished like this? I don't want to marry him” Kiara shouted to let out her anger.

“What happened sis?

How do you know him?” asked Lisa.

“He is my high school classmate and topper of my class,” replied Kiara.

“If he is your classmate then why don't you want to marry him?

You might have talked with him in class right?” asked Lisa.

“No, I never had a conversation with him and I also don't like him” murmured Kiara.

“Why? And, What is his name?” asked Lisa.

“His name is Aaron,” replied Kiara.

“What a nice name and a handsome face.

Why don't you like him?” asked Lisa again examining the picture.

“He is Ella's Ex-Boyfriend. He broke up with her on our farewell day and walked away without caring for her feelings” replied Kiara.

“From the day I heard this from Ella I started hating him. In class, he behaves like a silent person who cares only about studies and never spared a single glance at girls but secretly he plays with their emotions” said Kiara with an angry tone.

“I heard he also applied for MMU,” added Kiara.

“Then What are you going to do sis?” asked Lisa.

Kiara thought for a moment before replying.

“I made my decision” declared Kiara and walked out of the room with determination.

“Hope, Sis made a wise decision»...... Thought Lisa.
