Without a delay

2020-10-06 02:53:09Next day, we got engaged in a private ceremony. My parents wanted to make it big because they wanted everyone to know they got a billionaire son-in-law but thankfully devil wanted it to be private and they couldn't say no to him. My parents were quite annoyed at his decision cause they couldn't show off everything.
For me, it was a relief. I didn't like people, their ugly stares and talks. I also got to know that his name was Amol. Whatever his name was he will always remain devil for me. After four days, we got married according to the Nepali Hindu tradition. Devil wanted to get married without any delay. I don't know why he wanted that. He looked handsome in that traditional outfit. I couldn't stop myself staring at him. Prarthi was not quite happy but she supported my decision. She was always the best person I had in my life.
After a whole hectic day, finally, the wedding came to an end. Somewhere, I was happy that I got to leave my parent's house, forever. Maybe not forever. It's just a deal. I was in his room, my head ready to explode. He cleared his throat as he entered the room but I ignored him. He went to change. Somewhere the room felt familiar maybe cause there was a window in the same place as the room I was living back then? I had already changed so I went to sleep. I was lying on the couch trying to sleep when I heard him say,
"What are you doing?" He asked but I didn't bother to look at him.
"Why.. ?" He was about to speak but I cut him off.
"Sleeping," I said turning my face to another side.
"You can sleep on the bed," he said but I ignored him. He then came towards me and I didn't know his intentions until He picked me up and slowly laid me on the bed. I glared at him and he gave me a sweet smile.
"I am not going to sleep with you in the same bed," I said getting up.
"We are married now," he said sitting beside me on the bed.
"That doesn't mean you can do whatever you want," I said in an angry tone.
"Calm down...you can sleep here...i...i...will sleep on the couch," he said going towards the couch. I glared at his back. If he was going to sleep on the couch then why did so much drama? Drama queen.
I couldn't sleep. How could I sleep that now I was married to this devil and every day I have to tolerate his presence. I know nothing about him. Everything was messing my head. I turned to find him staring at the ceiling. He wasn't asleep too. He looked at me and winked. I rolled my eyes.
"Your stare is making me uncomfortable. Please don't rape me with your eyes" he said grinning.
He was pissing me off so I turned the other side showing my back to him.
"Bloody devil, " I murmured closing my eyes.
I woke up and felt my hand on something hard. I opened my eyes to find him. How come he was on the bed? I was about to get up but couldn't, his hold on me was too tight. I slowly pulled my hand and he groaned. He opened his eyes and smiled while I narrowed my eyes at him.
"What are you doing in this bed? Last time I remember you were on the couch." I said pointing towards the couch and giving him a glare.
"It is believed that on the first day of marriage you shouldn't leave your wife alone," he said with a smirk.
I glared at him. He always gets on my nerves. Wish I could kill him and get rid of him forever.
I rolled my eyes and was about to get up when he pulled me towards him. "I know you want me," he whispered, sending chills to my body. I couldn't speak. What the hell was he talking about?. Want him? my foot.
I wanted to slap him in the face and tell him to fuck off but he burst out laughing. Before I could say anything he got up and left.
It should have been our reception day but I didn't saw any sign of it and somewhere I was happy. I went to the kitchen and there was a lady preparing breakfast. As soon as she saw me she greeted me. I found it weird cause it must be me who should greet her. I told her I will prepare breakfast but she insisted not to but I refused so she did the other work. I found out her name was Tina.
I asked her how many people lived here and she told me about that there were three other maids. She was the head one. It was obvious why they needed four maids. The mansion was huge but I didn't see his family anywhere.
"So, where are the others?" I asked her.
"Others?" She said in confusion.
"Yes, his parents and his sister?"
"They don't live here,"
"What? I mean..."
"They live in a different mansion," she said giving me a soft smile.
It was shocking to me. He lives alone in this whole mansion? I guess he was much richer than I had thought but why would a guy like him was so eager to marry me? What could I give him? Anyway, the good thing was I didn't have to do the act of his wife and to be a perfect daughter-in-law. I told Tina to call the devil for breakfast. He didn't bother to talk or even look at me. We ate in silence. I think he was one of those guys whose mood changes automatically.
I went to the room feeling quite relieved that now I don't have to wear a sari or pretend to be his wife and the most satisfying thing was, I don't have to live in the same room as him. That was a huge relief. I can get away from him. I mean away from his room. I changed into a t-shirt and shorts and started to pack my bag. I was about to zip it and leave when,
"What the... hell?" I heard an annoyed, slight shocked voice.
I turned to find the devil standing at the door. His eyes focused on the bag I was holding.

I was still furious about the kiss and more than that he forgot me while she was there. I skipped breakfast so I don't have to see him. I came down to tell Tina that I will be preparing for lunch. Next morning, After I prepared breakfast I went to the garden without having it because when I asked tina to call him, she said he wasn't in his office. I was enjoying gardening when he came with breakfast. I looked at him and he smiled. I washed my hands and sat on the bench. We then ate in silence."If you don't mind, I was thinking.. if...you know..i .... I want to take you out...." He said nervously, playing with his hand. I looked at him and laughed a little. We came back after like maybe two hours. The crowd was huge and the line... oh don't ask about the line in the temple. I was worn out. My legs were hurt and my feet were aching. We came inside and found out rima had already left. I went straight to the room and remembered that I haven't thanked him. He entered the room and I could see he was exhausted. He gave me a tired smile."Thanks," I said and he just looked at me for awhile, probably thinking why."For this," I said showing sari.He nodded. Even though I was angry at his behaviour that gift meant a lot to me. After some time he went out and I was all alone in the room.I was fasting and.... for his long life. Yes, for him. I thought I would be able to fast without drinking a drop of water but as time passed it became difficult for me. I know this marriage was fake and he forced me in it but I don't know why I was fasting for him. I know it's kinda weird.

I went straight to take the shower cause I wanted to cool my mind. I sat on the shower feeling bad about everything. My energy was totally drained. I shouldn't have gone there but if I had not, they would have come here or called devil to visit them. Anyhow they would have made me go there.I came out and got ready to sleep but there was no sign of him. I looked around, went to his office but he was not there. I came back and sat on the bed. Where was he? I got up and looked outside from the window and he was in the garden. He was still in the same clothes that he wore in the morning. He didn't come up to change? Or oh, he went directly to the garden?I felt confused and then realized, holy crap. Is he mad because of what happened in the car? Or he must have felt bad but why would I care? I rolled my eyes and went to watch series but couldn't focus on it. After some time I looked at the watch and it was almost 12 but he had not come back

The next morning, I was all alone in the bed. I don't know why but I didn't like it. Today we were going to my parent's house so I got dressed. Dar was at night but prarthi told me to come early.
